Do not stay here. The staff is rude, rooms are dilapidated, and I was overcharged not once, but twice. The man at the front desk was extremely rude when I checked in. I was also told the room I booked was not available so they had to give me a smaller, lower quality room. He then charged me for the small room even though I had already paid double the price for the original room. I noticed that an hour later so I was able to get a refund. However, they would not give me my money back for me having prepaid for the nicer room, saying they  “don’t know what Agoda is, we don’t work with them”. I submitted a complaint and dispute with Agoda and the hotel still refuses the refund the difference. Kandersteg in general I don’t recommend visiting.

Unfortunately, a horrid experience. Ordered one thing, got another, paid for it. Spend your money elsewhere. Abhorrent.

Do not recommend this place at all with big regret did I stay here I almost left early. The first night I had a cold shower as there was no hot water. Then the next two nights the shower was barely warm just bare able enough. The bed was very uncomfortable and creeked so loud every single little movement in it. The room has no spare plugs in it, you have to unplug the bed side light so I can charge my phone. The food menu was such a small selection and breakfast isn't included and quite expensive for what it was. For the money this cost I would not bother. I have stayed in hostels with better facilities and menus than this place. The only good thing I can say about this place is the location right in the middle of everything and shop right opposite. And the views from the rooms are nice but not worth the money I regret booking 3 nights here. After I left 10 hours later they put a extra charge on my card with no explanation and after offering me absolutely nothing in return for having no hot water two nights in a row I think this is absolutely ridiculous. Do not stay here
