I stayed at this hotel with my adult daughter for a ski trip in early January. We chose the hotel having stayed there previously and found it to be excellent in every respect.

The rooms are reasonably spacious and well-appointed. They are serviced well every day with frequent changes of towels and provision of quality bathroom products.

Food in the restaurant is excellent. Breakfast is an extensive buffet which is constantly refreshed. There is a very good range of quality juices, fruits, breads, meats and smoked salmon. The small range of hot options are freshly cooked although there is no live cooking station. Dinners are varied with options for starters, soups and mains which are selected at dinner.

The hotel is conveniently located with a ski bus stop immediately outside the excellent ski and boot room where every room has an individual heated locker. Alternatively, it is a short walk uphill to the gondola station. Buses go to Fugen, Hochfugen and Kaltenbach.

An excellent luxury base for a ski trip.

What a lovely hotel! We spent 4 nights here and came back feeling like we had been away for 2 weeks. The staff and the food were excellent. The food is never going to be to everyone's taste but its so plentiful and of good quality. The cheese selection was excellent. But after 5 courses we struggled to find room. The wines are extensive and Michael is very knowledgeable. 

The bedroom was dated but very clean and the beds were divine. The pillows were fine for me but didn't suit my husband. The reception staff did try to arrange an alternative but he struggled. 

The spa is amazing but be aware its textile free in many parts and may not be to the Brits taste.  

The Hochfugen ski bus stop is right outside the very modern and stylish hotel ski store. Each room has a heated locker that makes your gloves toasty warm.   
The main Fugen lift is 5 mins up the hill.
