We, the family of 4 people, stayed in the house for a week in December 2012 . We have occupied two double rooms. All rooms in the house dedicated for two , maybe for a couple with a child.
Let's start with the pros . The most serious advantage - is location. The house is one kilometer from the Hintertux glacier gondola. Directly in front of the entrance to the house there is a free ski bus stop, one way to the glacier , and in the opposite direction to Rastkogel, where possible on the lifts and skies to reach the entire ski area of Mayrhofen . It is very useful, because by car it will not be faster. For skiers very convenient place.
The Haus has two floors , hosts live on the ground floor, the guests on the second one. In the basement there are kitchen and dining room. There is free internet, but the transmitter is in the kitchen and it is not always working properly on the 2nd floor.
Rich breakfast is serving in the morning, quite plenty of choice for every taste. Breakfast starts at 7:45 am , an hour before the glacier lifts start running. There is the possibility to take half board, but I did not it and therefore do not know whether this is appropriate.
In the basement there is a sauna and a ping-pong table. If you want sauna will working properly in the evening, it is necessary to ask the hosts in the morning.
The place is very quiet, there is no any nightlife around there. If you need a supermarket or any other signs of civilization it is necessary to go to the center of Tux, about 4 kilometers . Again, you can take free ski bus to Tux center, but it only works until 17:30, and if later, only by car or taxi.
Regarding the minuses, they do not accept any form of payment other than cash or bank transfer. Very uncomfortable that you cannot pay by credit card.
