This is a lovely family run hotel. The owner and staff are all friendly and efficient. The decor is a little dated but charming, tidy and spotlessly clean. We had a room with balcony to enjoy a cuppa and people watch. The only problem we had was the small shower cubicle. We ate in the restaurant several nights and the food and drink was always great.
The hotel is very close to the harbour in Malcesine and handy for the ferries around the north part of the lake. There are some ferries to resorts in the south also.

Lovely family hotel

Just arrived home from a fabulous 10 nights here, what a fabulous find, the positives....amazing, friendly staff who can't do enough for you, the location is fantastic, 5 mins walk to bus station, 2 minutes to the harbour where you can get a boat to Limone for €10 each return, lovely restaurants, where you can equally just have a drink and watch the world go by, the car park opposite turns into a market on a Saturday morning, which had some great pottery, clothes and leather goods and despite our room being on the front we never heard any noise from that or at night, but the one thing we loved was the restaurant, so much so we ate there 7 out of 10 nights, my husband had steak in a peppercorn sauce and he is incredibly fussy when it comes to steak, and he ate it all, said it was cooked perfectly, little tip though he asked for well done and it was more like medium but absolutely no fat and it melted in his mouth, lovely cocktails, fabulous tiramisu and really hard working staff...the day before we left they left a calendar on our bed with 12 different scenes of Malcesine which we thought was a lovely touch, reception staff always happy to help with directions or if we needed anything, the only negative is I'd say is I've been to more modern hotels with plusher rooms but we loved the real family run Italian feel that the hotel had....we really have had the most amazing time, great location, great staff, and great food....we will definitely be coming again.....

Fabulous 10 days

Absolutely fantastic location. We chose this hotel as our base & we aren’t disappointed it’s fabulous.  The bed is large & comfortable.  We have a balcony overlooking the mountains which is perfect. The staff are amazing, really pleasant & helpful.  Breakfast provides a great choice to set you up for the day.  We’ve eaten in the restaurant & the food is extremely competitively priced & the dishes we’ve had have been perfect.  Love the fact that it’s an independent & not a bland chain.

Perfect location, great hotel,  a jewel!

Friendly staff,rooms cleaned daily,beds comfortable.Giovanni (Joe) on the front desk is a font of local knowledge and a really nice bloke. The town and surrounding area is absolutely stunning. The breakfast is good,we ate in the restaurant a couple of times,food was lovely. Would we come back ? Absolutely.

Hotel Alpino.

In one word 'FANTASTIC'    This hotel is exceptional and there is absolutely nothing you could complain about. 
This was our second visit and  hopefully will be back.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !

Our hotel is situated in a perfect position in the centre of Malcesine, just a short distance from the picturesque port, the steamer landing-pier, the castle, the panoramic Monte Baldo cable car and bus station. It is the ideal point of departure for interesting excursions on Mount Baldo. Within a few minutes’ walk you will find restaurants and pizzerias, as well as a supermarket, pharmacy, banks, etc. Guests will enjoy their stay in one of the 27 rooms, some have a balcony with a view of the mountains and some rooms have a Juliet balcony from which you can get a glimpse of the port. All rooms are equipped with all amenities to ensure your well-being: private bathroom with shower, hairdryer and free toiletries, telephone, free Wi-Fi connection, flat screen TV with foreign channels, safety deposit box, mini fridge, adjustable air conditioning and sound-proof windows.
