We were absolutely delighted with our 3N stay at the Beu-Rivage Zermatt; from the complimentary pick up - drop at the Rail Station; large clean rooms with a view; excellent linen on a very comfortable bed; a charming sit out at the lobby level with great sunshine and a marvelous view of the Matterhorn up real close. Personalised service by the Owner's Son and the ONLY HOTEL in our 28 day trip across Italy and Switzerland where we were offered EGGS TO ORDER for Breakfast. The convenient location made it super easy to just walk to to all the attractions in Zermatt. Definitely a must stay with great value for money, negligible noise level and a lively atmosphere.

Gem of a Hotel in Zermatt

Location would give 4 out 5 , about 650 mts away from the station , but near Sunnega.
However, a lot of tourists come specifically to this hotel location for a spectacular view of the Matterhorn.

Rooms - very nice and cosy , plenty of drawers , nice lighting and a more than decent washroom. Since we were on the top floor both the bathroom and the living room area had a clear glass on the roof leading to great daylight in the room. 
The balcony was fab with an uninterrupted view of the Matterhorn - to the extent that one needn’t go out of your room in Zermatt !!
Breakfast was adequate .
Jonas , the owner’s son who manages the hotel was very friendly and helpful. 
They arrange for a pickup and drop to the station . 
Our only regret was we couldn’t get to meet the Olympic champion owner !!

We just returned from a week at the Beau Rivage and enjoyed a perfect stay.  The location is perfect in town, but less than a 10 minute walk to any lift or 5 minute bus shuttle.  Jonas and family were very friendly and helpful with everything from dinner reservations to ski equipment suggestions.  The room was spacious, very comfortable with balcony facing the Matterhorn and river.  The breakfast was ideal with eggs, meats, cheeses, fish, cereal and fresh baked goods.  Very central, but quiet location. Enjoy!

Perfect location, room and excellent service!

The hotel is quiet small only had few rooms, but the room we booked was big and spacious! 

The hotel location is perfect for ski bus  just outside. Close to center. 
From our room the view to Matterhorn was unbeatable. It was absolutely gorgeous !

The staff were all nice. 

Cons 

The TV kept going black after a while whenever we would watch it. 

The breakfast options were underwhelming.
