I stayed at Hotel Ristorante Cassone in August 2024. I booked for 4 nights on Booking.com and chose this place because the reviews on Booking, while not perfect, were acceptable at the time of booking. We arrived at the hotel around the time the restaurant opened and waited about 15 minutes at the reception for the room key. During this time, all the staff walked past us at least twice. They briefly told us where to find the room and left, without providing any additional information. When we arrived at the room, we were greeted by a 2-3 cm diameter spider on the door. The room was as basic as possible and was not thoroughly cleaned, and part of the bathroom was full of hair. In addition, the ceiling was full of cobwebs and we found a few spiders in the room. The air conditioning didn't work. Even after we told the reception and they turned it on, it only blew out warm air. The room was at least 32 degrees Celsius. Because of this, we could only sleep for about 2 hours during the night. The windows couldn't be opened because there was no mosquito net on the window, and the balcony was shared with other rooms and there were no blackout curtains. Another problem was that when the restaurant was operating, there was constant noise in the room. A rhythmic noise from the kitchen was very disturbing. The breakfast was terrible. The rolls were not the freshest, the coffee was the worst coffee I've ever had, and the place was full of spiders. We left the hotel the next morning. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. It's a 2-star hotel but the conditions are unacceptable and you can find better accommodations in higher categories for a little more money
