My party of 2 adults, 2 teens stayed here for 4 nights to ski.  Location is excellent, in the town center about 200m from the escalator where you can ski over to the olympique lift complex.   Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.  There is no parking at the hotel itself, so we parked at one of the large paid garages in town and it worked out fine.  It has a charming front patio with nice views. Checkin was fast and the staff were friendly and helpful.  We stayed in a quad room and it was on the small side but adequate.  Beds were comfortable. Bathroom a little bigger than average by european standards and spotless.  There is no elevator, so be aware if stairs are an issue for you.  Wifi was ok, but not great.  We had alot of trouble setting up the initial connection and the signal from our room wasn't great ... the lobby was better.  Breakfast was good and plentiful, though they used a coffee machine.   The ski room was very small and you had to store your boots in a separate room in the basement, which was inconvenient.  We opted for the half-board and regretted it.  We had 1 good meal, 2 OK meals, and 1 bad meal.  I love eating out in France and really missed that aspect, especially since meribel has alot of places to eat.  Meribel is an expensive town for hotels, so I'd definitely stay at the Hotel Genepi again given the lower price compared to others.  Skiing was spectacular ... we loved Meribel and the 3 valleys.

Pretty good

Unfourtunate covid circumstances with closure of borders lead to cancellation of holiday. Hotel very uncooperative not only refused to refund 50% of the stay but took the other 50% against their own policy and denied it (having shared evidence). Will never book again with them.

Did even get to stay at the hotel

Within 7 minutes walk from the ski lifts, and right in the middle of Meribel, lovely hotel, very friendly service, with facilities for ski and boot storage. My bed was a little small but a great base if you are there for the skiing. Lovely little bar and an outside patio (which closes by 10pm if you like an early night) and evening meals that came with the half board were tasty and varied.  Nice buffet breakfast too. Really enjoyable stay, would definitely return.


Very friendly attentive service 

Stayed here for 4 nights earlier this month with 3 other friends and had a great time.

Location is ridiculously good, very short walk from slope and bars.

The service was exceptional and food (half board) was great. The bar was reasonably priced too.

Rooms were small (2 blokes in a twin sharing) but had just enough room.... Ultimately they were clean and tidy with new towels each day.

Likely to go back to meribel at some stay and would not hesitate to stay here again!

Little gem

Very friendly and accommodating staff who really go out of their way to help. Spotlessly clean, quiet rooms with en-suite shower rooms. Rooms are small and fairly simple but the beds are very comfortable and the hot water plentiful. Located at the ‘quiet end’ of Méribel yet only a 2 minute walk to / from the Piste (up the escalator by the Tourist Office). No parking but there’s a public car park less than 5 mins away and you can pull up outside to unload luggage. Breakfast is varied and excellent and dinner, if you’re staying on a half board basis, is simple but excellent. An unpretentious little hotel which does what it does to perfection. Can’t wait to return.
