Hotel Furian was a wonderful find.  Teddy was a perfect host.  Breakfast was lovely and tasty.  Views from every balcony.  Comfortable beds and very clean.

Definitely book!

After the hustle and bustle of Salzburg, we were ready for a bit of downtime. And we could not have chosen a better location than the Hotel Furian in beautiful St Wolfgang. The hotel is in a quiet location just a short walk from the village centre as well as the Schafbergbahn cog railway and the lake ferries. The hotel is lovely, with spacious and well-appointed rooms and a wonderful sun terrace. Breakfast is delicious, served to you at your table by the friendly and attentive staff. And we must not forget the private lakeside area with sunloungers, bar/cafe, watersports and speedboat to rent for waterskiing or just a zoom around the lake. Finally, special thanks to Teddy for your company on the transfers to and from Salzburg. We hope to see you again soon! 

Wonderful hotel in St Wolfgang

We have just returned from a ten day holiday in lovely St. Wolfgang. Staying in the beautiful Hotel Furian which is owned and run by father and son, Teddy and Markus. Both gentlemen were so helpful, kind and considerate. Their staff, waitresses and cleaning, always very cheerful and friendly. We had a lovely surprise for our wedding anniversary at breakfast, our table was beautifully decorated plus we had a vase of fresh flowers and Sachertorte cake decorated with fresh fruit.

The hotel is in a very quiet area and five minutes walked us to the lakeside, bus stop and town centre. 

Amazing breakfast served on three tier cake stand with a basket of different breads. Our bedroom was so quiet with a lovely comfortable bed and balcony. Bedroom also had a mini bar and kettle with supplies of tea, coffee etc. 

Hotel Furian is spotless and very well maintained. It feels more like a home than a hotel. We loved it and thoroughly recommend it.

Hotel Furian St. Wolfgang

Hotel Furian is more than a hotel. So comfortable with all the aspects you didn't know would add to your comfort. I wanted to stay longer to live in all the fun and comfort... but I'm on a tour of Europe! 
First hotel with a makeup magnifying mirror. It is so much easier to see. It had a little shelf in the shower/tub for shaving my legs. Bikes are in the garage for guests' use. I loved the long ride around the lake with great advice from the owner of the hotel. (I needed to take a ferry to finish the ride) The lake access with paddleboard, and excellent care of the facilities on the water, made swimming and purchasing lunch, and beer or wine, easy and comfortable. After traveling on busses and trains, it was so wonderful to ride, swim, and lounge at the water's edge. The hotel owner and son are so helpful. Oh, I forgot! THE BREAKFAST IS AMAZING! And I gathered the fruit offered then for lunch later. I hope to be back someday!

The best spot in the villiage!

I feel so fortunate we chose to stay here - it was relaxing and rejuvenating.  We came to St Wolfgang to hike and bike but it was unseasonably warm in September.  I totally forgot they had a lakeside beach club and it was my favorite part of our stay.  Swimming in Wolfgangsee while watching the hang gliders over the mountains was magical.  So many water activities to enjoy.  Loved the proximity to restaurants and the cog train.  Gustav had great suggestions of places to visit in the Salzkammergut.  The entire staff was friendly, helpful and made you feel so welcome.  Loved the lake view from our balcony.  We will definitely be back!
