We came to Scuol for a couple of days to take in the air, enjoy the views and use the thermal baths,  Hotel Gabriel  was recommended to us by a friend and all I can say is "what a lovely find".  From initial reception to final departure Andreaus and the family could not be faulted.  We had a lovely room that is all pine and very comfortable, with a large and spacious bathroom with an excellent  hot shower.

The breakfast is very good and provides for most tastes with cereals, yogurts, pastries, cheese and cold meats with breads and preserves too.

We ate both evening in the hotel restaurant and both meals could not be faulted for quality and value, with Andreaus and the staff providing excellent service.  On both evenings during our stay the restaurant was busy with guests from the hotel and people who came in just to eat.

We came to Scuol mainly for the thermal baths, however, we found a little gem and no doubt we will return to enjoy the summer time in the future, together with another winter dip in the baths!!

Exceptional Family Run Hotel

I was traveling through the Alps with my wife in our motorbike. My Wife booked this hotel to stay in the Historic Town of Scuol in Kanton Graubünden. The Hotel is located in the Historic Town. The Hotel has exclusive parking to the customers. The Staff was friendly and the room was good, but the Restaurant was closed for dinner (Thursday). From the Hotel we walked through the Historic Town streets enjoying looking the old houses and beautiful landscapes.

The owner of the hotel was really straight-forward and warm. The rooms were tidy and nice and the location in the alpine village of Scuol was wonderful. At check-in we received free tickets to take a gondola lift up the nearest mountain which was really nice. The room we had was quite small but enough for one night and we also managed to fit a child's bed there. The hotel has a restaurant which we only used for breakfast. The breakfast was quite basic and the staff seemed insufficient to keep the food plates filled but the owner was serving himself and he was really helpful.

I really recommend this hotel for your stay at Scuol.

From the moment we arrived at the Hotel Gabriel, we found the staff courteous, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, with a fine assortment of local Engadine cuisine as well as more typically "Swiss" dishes. The breakfast is substantial and varied, with delicious home-made jams and fine, fresh bread and cold meats and cheeses. Hot breakfasts are also available to order. The situation is idyllic, near the centre of the old village of Scuol, with its many mineral springs, summer white-water rafting and hiking and winter skiing. It is also near the famous wellness centre which has been on the go in one form or another since 1369 or something. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean. What more could a visitor want?
