⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Week in La Tania – Crystal Ski & Hotel Le Montana 
We’ve just come back from an amazing week in La Tania, Courchevel with Crystal Ski, staying at the Hotel Le Montana, and it honestly exceeded our expectations.
🧳 Arrival & Crystal Rep
From the moment we arrived, our Crystal rep Peter was brilliant. He was welcoming, organised, and really knew his stuff. He even took us up to our room to make sure everything was okay and then walked us down to the boot room to show us how the lockers worked. Such a refreshing change to have a rep with real experience and confidence.
Transfers were smooth, check in was quick, and with our piste view room ready, we even managed a few hours on the slopes that afternoon.
🛏️ The Hotel
Le Montana is a great base for a ski holiday. Our room was warm, clean, and comfortable, with everything we needed. The spa was a huge bonus and perfect after long days skiing.
The hotel is practically ski in/ski out, although there is a short flat section to get across to the gondola — nothing too demanding.
🍽️ Food & Dining
Breakfast had plenty of choice. I’d read mixed reviews about the dinners before we arrived, but honestly, we were pleasantly surprised.
Dinner is buffet-style, with at least three options for starters, mains, and desserts every night. You can also order fries or salads, which is written at the bottom of the menu each day.
There’s also a restaurant upstairs serving the same food but table service style for an extra €10 per person. We didn’t feel the need to upgrade — the buffet was absolutely fine.
I can understand why some reviews are mixed though: if you’re expecting lots of English style food, this isn’t the place for that. But the quality and variety were very good throughout our stay.
Staff were always cheerful, helpful, and created a really relaxed atmosphere.
🎿 The Resort
La Tania is a charming little resort with a real French alpine feel. It’s quieter than the main Courchevel villages, but we saw that as a positive.
Great access to the Three Valleys ski area — plenty of terrain for all levels.
For après ski, Pub Le Ski Lodge is definitely worth a visit: happy hour 4–6pm and regular entertainment/sport on.
We also visited La Taiga for dinner one night as we had friends staying close by in an apartment, and the food was exceptional.
✅ Overall
A brilliant trip from start to finish. Crystal made everything easy, Le Montana Hotel was comfortable and convenient, and the skiing was fantastic.
We would 100% book again.

Fantastic Week in La Tania – Crystal Ski & Hotel Le Montana

Pros: friendly staff, close to a lift, satisfactory breakfast buffet, and larger, clean (albeit worn) rooms. 
Cons: dinner food was just average;  entire lobby and public areas are quite dated; upon entry to hotel there was a strong smell of urine/wet carpet; beds were squishy and not to our liking. 

Personal preference but we were not impressed with the overall La Tania area. It’s probably fine if you have a chalet in the area and want a family-oriented place from which to ski but it wasn’t our jam.

Lovely staff but would not return!

Lovely hotel and perfectly located.

Breakfast was a buffet with a good range of choice 

Dinner was preorder and majority of the food was absolutely delicious. They also catered perfectly for our friend with a lactose allergy. 

The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming :) 

The spa/pool area is small but lovely and has all you need - the hot tub whilst lovely and huge was very very hot and the jets weren’t particularly strong 

The rooms were spacious and clean, with a great balcony. We were in a room on floor 0 so very noisy from the bar area :/

The boot room is cramped and tired and requires some modernisation.

Overall a lovely hotel and would come back - although would request a room further from the bar area

Staff
Staff were very welcoming and friendly, check in process was smooth and easy, great at getting you involved with the entertainment. 

Food
Lots of options for breakfast couldn’t ask for more. Dinner you choose your options the night before which makes service pretty flawless and for extra picky eaters would be a good indicator if you need to go out for food the following night but there’s a lot of option so we never found this necessary. Also “sweet treat time” in the afternoon after a day of skiing was a very nice touch cookies, brownies etc. 

Rooms
Our room was spacious with a balcony and piste view. Lovely and clean on arrival and cleaners come in at request with card on door handle. Loud noise from other rooms can be heard but a set of earplugs is a quick fix. 

Entertainment 
We loved the quiz night, karaoke and live music. They also have pool tables and a dart board that we made good use of in the large downstairs lounge/game area, an array of board games is down there too. 

Spa
We often found the spa to be quiet. Nice sauna and small pool. Amazing mountain view from the steam room. Star of the show is the huge hot tub!  

Overall we absolutely loved this hotel and would say the pictures do not do it justice

The Hotel Montana is a ski to door Hotel conveniently situated right in the heart of the 3 Valleys resort of La Tania, only 50-100 metres from the main ski lift (gondola) that whisks you up to some of the best skiing in Courchevel / La Tania. Walk out the front door and you are in the heart of the resort, snap on your skis or board and the fast gondola will whisk you straight into the heart of the Three Valley lift system. Inside The Montana you will find a health club with hot tub, pool, sauna and steam room, two restaurants, and a friendly warm and relaxing bar with comfy lounge. There is also a games room. The hotel has 12 covered parking spaces and 12 open air.
