We had an excellent week at Chalet Charlotte with Ski Miquel. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome by the chalet hosts Anna, Hannah, Kate and Nicky, along with chef Javier, who all did a fantastic job throughout our stay.
The chalet itself was clean, comfortable and always warm, making it a great place to relax after a day on the slopes. We particularly enjoyed the daily ski hosting, which was a real highlight of the week.
The dining room/lounge/bar area is a lovely, sociable space and worked perfectly for afternoon tea and cake, pre-dinner drinks, as well as breakfast and dinner. Overall, a brilliant chalet experience and one we would happily recommend.

Just back from a great New Years break in Serre Chevalier.
The chalet is set in a lovely little village with a few bars, boulangerie and a supermarket. We made the most of the ski lockers by the slopes, which made life a lot easier.
The chalet itself was full of character, and the living area with its open fire was cosy and sociable. We enjoyed chatting to the other guests and playing card games there.
Food was excellent- we all really enjoyed it (even my fussy teenagers tried lots of new things and enjoyed them) Canapés, 3 courses, cheese and lots of wine, made it good value.
The chef, Javier did an amazing job providing gluten free food for myself and one of my children, who has coeliac disease. We never felt like we missed out- cake was delicious and different everyday and he tweaked our meals without us feeling like we were having anything different. We were both really impressed.
The staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful.
Unfortunately we didn’t have snow whilst we were away, so some of the pistes were closed. With our lift passes we could ski or get a ski bus to neighbouring resorts in the valley, so we had access to plenty of pistes.
Ski guiding was a great idea, but because some of our group were only comfortable on blue runs, we were unable to join (a red run leads to the next mountain, so the less confident in our group just got the ski bus (€3 each way) and did our own thing.)
One day I headed to the walled town in Briançon, which was worth visiting if you want a non ski day. A bit of a walk up hill but a really pretty ‘village’ with some cute shops. We also went up the gondolas there and in Chantemerle on foot, to appreciate the views (which I sometimes forget to look at when skiing)
Only criticism would be a cold draft through some of the bedroom windows, but it was 
explained that they have applied for permission from the local authorities to reseal them. 
Would highly recommend.

1st Trip with Ski Miquel

Lovely Chalet and very friendly staff. Some quirky features. Room 5 bathroom shower square fitted into a round space making the way in a little tight. The shower itself though very good. Plenty of hot water all times of the day. Meals are top rate, full 4 courses. Very good value for money. The walk down to the lift is a little over 5 minutes, not too steep. The chalet has its own bar which is fairly well stocked. There is a cracking pub 1 minute walk away called L’Alpen. Friendly staff and a friendly boxer dog called Pipp. Resort was not fully open but we were the first guests staying 14-21 December so perhaps to be expected. Lift system is generally quite good, a couple of slow cold chairs but otherwise excellent. You’ll need to bring slippers or indoor shoes. One can’t just walk to one’s room in outdoor shoes. One swaps these in the foyer but this works well. The chalet is very clean partly because big this. I’d like a revisit when the area is fully open

Great chalet & we used Ski Miguel for this trip. Fantastic from start to finish, a lovely cosy hotel with a very sociable dining / lounge / bar area. Location was great as you get the ski locker down at the foot of the slopes, so although not ski in ski out, it’s just a 5 min walk to the chair lift.

Amazing chalet - highly recommended

Fantastic week skiing thanks to Thereza and her team.  Really friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, great food and catered for my son who is gluten free...very grateful as never easy in France.  Skiing concierge was a real bonus and helped to make the week such a success. Chalet is comfortable with good showers and very fluffy towels.  Great value for money.  Wouldhighly recommend.

The Chalet-Hotel Charlotte has a charming picture-postcard feel. A one-time monastery and then a family home, it has since been converted to a chalet-hotel, and it is owned by Ski Miquel. Our guests love its historic character and cosy ambience, with its original stonework ceilings and timber beams, whilst the bedrooms are light and airy. The lounge is the perfect place to curl up by the open log fire with a slice of cake or a drink, whilst reliving all the day’s skiing adventures and fun with your friends or family.
