Where do I begin? 
We have been staying in the lovely village of Waidring for over twenty years. We stayed in one hotel for years until its standards fell so then we went to another one. This was too anonymous for us, no atmosphere. So then we went in an apartment for a few years. 

We have made friends in the village and they told us about the new hotel being built, that would be the place to stay. My goodness, were they SO right!

We first stayed at the Sendlhof in September 2018. It was fabulous and totally exceeded our expectation. The rooms are spacious and extremely well appointed. The whole hotel is spotless, a credit to the cleaning staff. And the food, well what can I say? Fantastic! 

This is a family run hotel and the staff, without exception are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is both polite and friendly.

We fell in love with the Sendlhof so much that I booked it for the following January for my family to experience it. They thought it was an amazing hotel too.
I have just returned from my third visit, which was so good that I booked it for this Christmas for my family to come again too. My husband and I are also returning in September. 
I think that just about says it all!

THE place to stay in Waidring!

We've just returned from a weeks stay here and it was our first time to Waidring / Steinplatte and our first time to Austria.
We cannot praise this hotel enough - from the moment we arrived the staff was incredible warm, welcoming and friendly. The standard of the hotel finish is excellent - lovely cosy, warm ski-lodge, as you would want.  The rooms are very big, super comfortable and immaculate, the bathrooms have underfloor heating too....lovely!

We were staying half-board so we weren't sure what the standard of food would be -  we were blown away!  Dinner each night was FIVE courses, each day a different menu, and the standard was excellent - steak tartare, consomme, smoked salmon, beef stew, schnitzel, and really lovely delicate desserts.  Amazing value for money.  

Breafast was of an equally high standard - fresh fruit, cured meats and cheese, hot food, great local bread, cereals......fantastic and just what you need for a days skiing.
The hotel is about a 5-8 minute walk to the main Steinplatte cablecar, or a 2 minute drive. Perfect. They have an underground carpark which takes you to the ski store room,  and a lift up to the rooms.

The reception can organise ski passes for you if you wish.  Super helpful all round.
A nice cosy bar area which stocked a great selection of international gins :-)

We are 100% coming back.  If we could, we would get back on a plane today.....

We went a few times for lunch here last week and the food is great! Choise is limited but the quality is excellent! Friendly staff, nice ambiance and well located down town and very close to the skilift.
