Beautifully historic hotel. conveniently located, with secure parking and short walk to lift station.  Enthusiastic team of young staff, superb restaurant and comfortable room. Would highly recommend.

Hotel du Glacier has a certain charm, but unfortunately, it feels like it's past its prime. While the quirky decor adds a bit of character, the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The room was very basic despite it being a suite, with an oddly placed shower right in the bedroom, which felt more awkward than boutique - perhaps I should have realised but it was still odd…

It seems the hotel is trying to mask its shortcomings by labeling itself as a boutique experience, but it simply isn’t, especially considering the price. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Plus lots and lots of flies in the breakfast area and they need to consider whether wiping table bins with the same cloth they wipe the table mats and seats is good food hygiene practices - it takes a lot for me to experience disgust but this did just that! Also, this didn’t include my husband’s experience of sifting through many plates to find a clean one…

At the ends of the corridors on the bedroom floors they were also casual housekeeping stores - it just isn’t good enough. 

I wonder whether this is a hotel has taken its eye off how they can maintain good customer experience…

I stayed here for one night in a single room and had dinner at the restaurant - both were fantastic! The hotel is full of charm and history, which I absolutely loved, and my room was perfect. The bed was super comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a night (or even a few). It was quiet enough, with no noise from other rooms - just a little from the corridor, but nothing at night, so it didn’t bother me. That’s just part of the character of a historic building!

Dinner was great - the halloumi burger and fries were amazing. A special mention to the two lovely young ladies who managed both the reception and the restaurant; they were so welcoming and attentive. Overall, a wonderful stay!
