Went to PSV with Snowbizz last year staying at Sun Vallee. 

Honestly just pay more money and go with a high standard kid focused ski company. No idea how they win award after award, the resort is dire, the restaurants are awful all serving the same food, the boulangerie and bakers are shelves in a Spa mini mart. No chemist & the cinema was closed.

Kids entertainment is basically childcare, it's in a room in the apartment building and only a baby would find it 'entertaining'. Skiing is good, lessons for kids also good, I can't say anything negative about the snow side other than a week is more than enough with the limited choices of pistes.

The resort isn't what I would call a family resort, there was very loud music pumping until 2/3am from the pub below the apartments, lots of all male groups wandering around late night and we actually had to step over frozen pools of vomit on more than one occasion.

Accomodation was disgusting. Unclean, thick dust in many areas, filthy bedding and mattresses (blood stained!!!) old rotten carpets under kids beds and the entrance to the block was unlocked all night.

Snowbizz gave us a refund so not complaining about customer service but the product sold on recommendations, awards, Mumsnet reviews and glitzy website was not the reality.

By all means go if you want a cheap ski holiday but you get less than what you pay for, my view is save for longer & go somewhere else. It really was like Guatanemo Bay on ice, never again.

Jaywick On Ice - Awful

We had a one bedroom apartment with a double bed, a sofa bed  in the lounge cum kitchenette, a bathroom and toilet. We were on the 4th floor facing away from the restaurants etc. There were just 2 of us. Any more would have been snug. Yes it was simply furnished, but it was clean and comfortable (especially warm) . Ski lockers led virtually straight out to the slopes and there were plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Also there were 2 supermarkets open 8-8 (ish).
Probably not the best of alpine sites for accomplished adult only skiers, but for families it was ideal. (Not a great apres ski area.)
We went with Snowbizz, who were excellent from start to finish.

(Now called Sun Vallée Apartments) - All you need and no more

Went on a week's ski trip to Puy St Vincent with two children.  We last cane here in 2011.  We booked through Snowbizz who use the hotel for their families.  Snowbizz are brilliant and the most child focussed ski providers out there, nothing is too much for them.

Booking in was no problem, once we arrived we got our keys and passes immediately and had been told where things were.  This helped us get a sneaky extra hour on the slopes.

The rooms are basic, but considering we were on the slopes all day, basic is as much as we need.  It's a self catering hotel, the supermarket is 2 minutes away.

The good bits:
Hot water and heating were spot on, hot bath always available for four people.
Beds were comfortable.

Bad bits (though no real biggy).
Our room had no oven.  There was a microwave, but this did limit to what we could cook.
There were food items were a bit random , we had 2 mugs but 16 glasses??
Wifi is terrible, particularly between 5-8pm where the whole hotel is probably trying to access it, but it is free.

These make it a 4 rate and not a 5, but generally a very good stay.

Nothing more than is required for a ski trip

This residence is now called Sun Vallee. 
Great location, ski in ski out, linked to the shops and restaurants in 1600. 2 minute walk to the pool. 
Apartments are basic, old furniture, etc but I expect that in ski resorts and they are well equipped and very warm. The balcony was nice too with great views. 
It would be nice if the lockers had heated boot warmers, but maybe that's expecting too much for budget accommodation. 
A couple of things could be better - one of the lifts broke while we were there, and it was days before it was fixed, meaning waiting a long time for a lift. I waited nearly 10 minutes 1 day before giving up and climbing 4 flights of stairs with heavy bags. 
The lights are on a timer and go off after about 1 minute meaning the corridors are always dark and creepy. Wifi was very patchy. 
Overall it was good value for money and we had a great holiday here.

Basic but convenient

Our apartment was simple but clean, warm, comfortable and more than sufficient for a week skiing in PSV. I was travelling with my wife and 2 young children and the resort felt super safe, everything was close together. I would definitely be happy to stay here again.
