Was a great hotel.  Very convenient to ski at Lake Louise .  Love the shuttle. The breakfast was very nice as well would just like more variety. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent stay, with newly renovated rooms.  Good power and charging connectivity, boot dryer for ski/snowboard boots, nice bathroom and great lighting.  Will stay again.  Breakfast was just okay.  The wafflebar was good, but the eggs were rubber little pucks and the bacon was undercooked (unless you like it that way, but it could have been cooked a little longer - was chewy).  There were otherwise pretty good options for an included buffet.

When I decided to venture to Lake Louise for a ski vacation, I wanted to keep expenses low, location to dining, and I did not want to rent a car.  The Mountaineer Lodge met those criteria.  The busing to and from Calgary airport was convenient.  The ski shuttle picks you up and rips you off at the lobby.  Restaurants and shops are 5-10 minute walks.  Also, sight seeing by bus is a 5 minute walk to the bus stop.  

My room was clean and warm.  It was relatively quiet except for my room was facing the train tracks and seemed to pass by 2-3 times at night.  The free breakfast was exceptional with an abundant selection.  I enjoyed the steam room and hot tub after a day of skiing.  Also, the staff was friendly and helpful.  The bonus was free afternoon cookies.

Overall, this was a vacation that was complemented by choosing the Mountaineer Lodge and met my expectations.

Highly recommend! The staff are lovely and incredibly helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The boot dryer is a wonderful bonus after a day of skiing. Really appreciated the hot tea and cookies upon arrival and the delicious hot breakfast in the morning.Will definitely return. Thank you!!!!
