Booked via Booking dot com and it exceeded all my expectations, and I've stayed quite a bit around Solden & Obergurgl.

The standard of the apartment was very good and it was spotless & clean when we arrived. The kitchen & lounge area was very good, with clear thought to make sure you could have mostly everything you needed for a short self-catering stay. The TV even had BBC, ITV and Channel 4 (although not premium channels like Sky… but of course you could always find a bar, if you needed that).

Good location, less than 100 yards walk to the main central ski cross point in Solden (near Bar Philip), which then takes you down to the main Gaislachkogel lift. When we were there, it was easy to ski back to this same spot (for 100 yards walk back to apartment) via the easy blue 8 or blue 10, or also the more challenging red 7b.

Also, relatively easy for HochSolden to get into town at night (& back) via the Zentrum Shuttle (fernicular railway) just behind Bar Philip, which was approximately a 5 minute walk down from the apartment (and probably 6 minute walk back up). The shuttle runs until 10.00 at night.

Good facilities (free underground car parking and heated ski & boot room) and it was quiet. There is also a sauna, which you have to reserve, which removes the embarrassment for us more sensitive (English) types who prefer swim costumes/shorts to the standard Austrian practice of no clothing.

The only questionable thing to note (particularly for English families, with maybe children in tow) was the artwork adorning the apartment walls, which was rather on the, how shall we say, "exotic" side. You could even substitute an 'r' for an 'x' in exotic there as well. Certainly unusual in such a setting.

Overall, I would say it was like a self-catering apartment with the facilities of a boutique (not mega large) 4 star hotel (reception, ski room, car park, bar. etc). Breakfast is available as an added optional extra and had within the bar area.

I would willingly stay again.

Finally a massive shout out (for the benefit of management) must go to Jennifer, who does reception, the bar, breakfast and a myriad of other things — she was friendly, helpful and super efficient. She is the Jewel in The Royal's Crown.

Overall it was a nice experience. We were 3 families all with small kids.
Pros: nice modern apartments
 very clean
 friendly and very responsive service
 location (direct on piste)
 fast and reliable wifi
Cons: the toilet is separately from bathroom and the freshener in there is hard to deal with (too strong).
 location (if you are not a skier) is not ideally in the city, however is quite easy to get to the city center with the lift that connects city and Ausserwald. 
 sauna is a little small if you are more than 5 people, hard to get a place.

We enjoyed it and liked it and will definetelly go there if I would go to Sölden.

Nice place!!

This is not the usual half pension place with large spa area. But it offers modern aprtments wth good equipment, nesprsso machine etc. breakfst extra if you like, and fresh bread delivery at 7am. Spa is small, takes only 4 people. Shops can only be reached by car. Underground parkng included. Three restaurants in the vicinity, which are all good. Free wifi.Skiing straight from the hotel to cable car Gaislachkogel. All in all  a good choice.

The apartments are advertised as 4 star upmarket, with art work. We rented a one bedroom apartment in January. It is a modern building, and the kitchen in our apartment was very well equipped. But the construction e.g. marble floors and layout means the building and the apartments are very noisy. we could hear our neighbours above and beside us too easily. Also the bedroom was internal,  one wall being the hallway wall with the only window being out to the hallway, not good for privacy and noise and no natural light. Also the bedroom was very cramped, I wouldn't rate it 4 star.
Staff were helpful and attentive. Also the sauna and steam room facilities were good.

Doesn't quite hit the mark

We recently spent a week here and we were not disappointed. The apartments are of a very high standard and wonderfully equipped. We had a corner apartment (Van Gogh) which gave us great views and direct access to a large public sunning terrace as well as our own. The building is situated just a few meters from the slopes and includes a small but nice sauna area and a Jacuzzi in every room: very nice feature. Loved the fresh bread service each day. I am really looking forward to visiting again.
