The aspens is a good hotel to stay at of you are looking for ski holiday. My family went to the aspens and had a great time. The staff are very nice, you get a good view, and there is much to do in the area. It is ski in/ski out place which was good for me as we hired skis and would ski down to the lift to start our day, which at the end of we could just give our skis back to the staff and they would store them. It is very close to the whistler village only about a 5-minute walk which is very scenic going through trees and over a nice bridge. The rooms are neat and have comfortable beds in.

Hotel staff is mean-spirited.  When I asked if anyone had turned in sunglasses, the front desk staff just said, "No." I came back and asked if there was a lost and found and she then opened a drawer full of sunglasses. She seemed put out that I had asked her. Why didn't she offer the lost and found before? The day before, the same woman chased me down at the elevator and told me that I had to take the stairs to carry my snowboard to the parking garage. What? Just totally rude.

Minimal hospitality

For anyone booking with Booking.com with host Dong, here's my negative experience: Dong the host is an irresponsible person who didn't consider our safety when he just gave our door access code to someone else without verifying if they were the guest that booked the room for the night (they apparently mistakenly booked for the following weekend but Dong just gave them the door code without asking who it was). We ended up wasting two hours after check-in time (which at 4 pm is already ridiculously late) to finally be able to get into the room after the random people Dong gave the door access code decided to leave the room.

Because these other people were in the room before us, they used the shower which was therefore filthy, and used the towels and left the kitchen dirty. Completely not my fault and, again, irresponsible host. Again, the shower was used and dirty, I had to clean it myself. There was garbage left on the kitchen counter, and one of the people spilled something on the counter. The towels were used. I am not expecting to be travelling for hours to come to a dirty room and clean it myself. And for my partner, after completing the Gran Fondo and being beyond exhausted, this is NOT the experience anyone wants to have. Completely ridiculous host and booking company who have both completely ghosted me after being informed that Booking.com does not give out refunds if the host doesn't reply.

Horrible experience. Booking.com and The Aspens should ban Dong from hosting - unsafe host.

The place was comfortable, the bed was big & comfortable also. Was disappointed of no air conditioning. Very close to the gondolas & restaurants & to the upper village. Close also to the kids entertainment's & also for teens & adults. My daughter loves it here.

We booked the hotel with the whole family for the weekend. Unfortunately, they didn't tell us the pool would be closed due to maintenance/issues until June 9, so we got there and the kids were very disappointed. Also, we booked together and asked to be all on the same floor and we were all in different wings, floors etc. Room was okay. Clean. Great location - walking distance to Whistler village.
