Winter Park Chateau

Winter Park

We had a great stay at the Chateau the last two nights. The owner and manager are awesome! The place is in a perfect location and the rooms and amenities are on point. We will definitely be back, next time with our son and dog as well!

Cozy, chic spot in the heart of Downtown Winter Park

We took a girls trip to Winter Park and the Chateau was incredible! The location is perfect with great restaurants & shops within walking distance - Each room is unique and comfortable and the hot tub was a bonus after spending the day hiking & shopping!! Jordan and Kylee both went above and beyond taking care of our group - Great food & drinks and they even served us lunch and cocktails at the top of the mountain after our hike to the top to celebrate us!! we enjoyed the living area to watch our OSU football game and to play games at night! I would highly recommend the Chateau and will be going back again in November with my family!

Girls Trip!

The place is an old mansion turned into a hotel, we had a very tiny room that you could hardly move inside it, and although I requested a room that not facing west, it was a warm day, but of course that is what we got and we were boiling in the room, there were no ceiling fan, we had a tiny fan and and ice cooler fan, but it was still so hot
There is no desk to check in, so we called and Jordon came, and first thing he mentioned that we are 15 minutes early for checking in. He tried hard and brought us another fan, but he could have simply offered us another room even if we have to pay extra, knowing from the number of cars the hotel was more than half empty.
There are a lot nicer rooms which we noticed the next day because the were open for house keeping.
Visitors be aware, there is no handicap access. Our room also had no windows, just a back door opens to a porch looking at dusty parking lot, we couldn’t keep the door open because anyone can walk right in.
We booked this hotel due to the 5 stars review which was very deceiving.
I feel that I owe people to share my experiences.
However with all that there are some other nice charming rooms with ceiling fans, and windows if you are willing to pay $300.

Not a great experience

There was a lot to love about the Winter Park Chateau. Firstly the owners and manager were very helpful and when the first room we were given did not fit our requirements we were offered a larger room. The second room had an ample sized bathroom and a freestanding tub which my husband loved. I liked the aesthetic of our room and having spoken to the owner he is looking to change the bed linens. I also thought the addition of bedside lighting would have been great and the curtains could also do with changing. The den was one of our favourite spots in the evening. It was large, warm and very comfortable. The provision of a washing machine and dryer we could use was also greatly appreciated.  The only thing that was off putting when we arrived was the construction work on either side of the building. Although it didn’t look great the noise was limited and did not disturb our stay. The outside and the first entrance could do with some work and tidy up but once inside the inner hall is very nice.

The whole family (my husband, myself, our 4 year old and newborn) decided to spend Thanksgiving in Winter Park. I was hesitant at first since this was our first Thanksgiving away and first time traveling with a newborn. Boy was so wrong! We were kept up to date on check details via text,  greeted by the the GM, Jordan who helped carry our bags in and walk us through our room. We staying in the Bison room which had a seperate living room and kitchen. This was ideal for us since we needed the seperation for the pack and play (provided by the hotel ) and our toddler. The chateau is very clean and in a great location. We were able to walk to town for lunch and catch the bus to go to the ski lifts. We can't wait to come back in the summer time to enjoy the beautiful hiking in Winter Park. We'll be back!
