Oberau-Wildschonau is a picturesque alpine village nestled in the valley. Wildschönau means ‘wild and beautiful’ and this is certainly one of the most glorious valleys in the Tyrol. There are four villages - Niederau, Oberau, Auffach and Thierbach - that make up the vast Ski Juwel ski area, all connected seamlessly with a regular bus service.
