Schladming's ski season normally runs from December to April, but on good snow years, the slopes sometimes open in November. The resort itself is relatively low in altitude, but the lofty peaks surrounding it mean snowfall is good. And an armada of snow cannons keeps the slopes running smoothly, whatever the conditions. Bring on the pow!
January is the time to clip into your skis if you want to watch the Schladming Night Race from Planai's famous 'witch's cauldron.' Or head here during the February Half Term for good powder and lots of family fun.
