Easy slopes for beginners, plenty of cruising for intermediate skiers, funparks for budding freestylers and plenty of restaurants serving classic Tirolean dishes. All this makes the resort of St Johann in Tirol a great place for families and beginners keen to carve their first turns. The resort is a cosy counterpart to its more rowdy neighbour, Kitzbühel.
There are 43km of pistes, nearly all blue and red groomers, ideal for those who just want to cut sweet turns in the corduroy. But there is a 3km black run for anyone up for a challenge.
