Welcome to Combloux Ski Resort

With its panoramic views of Montt Blanc, wooden chalets, ancient church, medieval fountains and rustic vibes, Combloux offers a taste of rural Alpine France in a spectacular setting. A neighbour to more upmarket Megève, it gives access to over 100 slopes in the Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area between 1,200m and 1,930m – mostly blues and reds – and it’s just an hour away from Geneva airport. What’s not to love? The pistes are family-friendly, with many cutting through forests of fir trees, and with Mont Blanc in the background, the views are great for your ’gram.

Best time to ski in Combloux

The resort is open from mid December through to the end of March. For the best skiing, January and February usually offer the most snow reliable months but December is actually one of the most magical times to visit Combloux thanks to its traditional Christmas festivities, which include local markets selling crafts, mulled wine, crêpes and other delicacies. Visitor numbers peak in February and with its longer daylight hours March offers quieter pistes and classic spring skiing conditions – and better opportunities for long lunches on the terraces if you’d rather kick back and just admire the view.

Things to do in Combloux

Combloux is not just about the skiing. It’s an historic village whose baroque church originally dates back to the 17th century – and there is a cultural vibe too. There are markets to explore, horse-drawn carriage rides to be enjoyed and outdoor shows. Besides skiing, there are trails for hiking with snowshoes and a network of ski touring paths throughout the resort. And there’s a health spa to ease the aching muscles afterwards. Eating out, take your pick from a variety of traditional Savoyard restaurants serving local dishes and delicious wines.
