Italy's Alpe Lusia - Moena/Bellamonte ski area extends from Moena in the stunning Fassa Valley, across Alpe Lusia ski resort, and towards Bellamonte in the Val di Fiemme. Most ski runs here are above the treeline, with modern chairlifts and gondolas providing access to slopes across the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites and Val di Fassa ski area.
For families, the children's zones of Lusialand and Laricino Baby Park offer safe spaces to practise their snowploughs outside lessons. Meanwhile, freestyle enthusiasts can enjoy the powder-packed Snowpark La Morea on the southern side of Alpe Lusia for a 900m-long set-up of jumps, kickers, boxes, walls, and rails.
Outside of skiing, take in sights on the countless snowshoeing and hiking nature trails through the white woods, or grab a sledge and go whizzing down the Fraina sled slope in Bellamonte, a 2,100m long descent through the forest with turns and straights - whee!
