My friend and I visited this hotel for the first time on New Year’s Eve 2026, and we truly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The rooms were cosy and very clean, the steam bath and sauna were excellent, and the food was abundant, diverse, and genuinely tasty.
However, the real strength of this place is its staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, not only professionally trained and polite, but also sincerely warm and attentive toward the guests. I was particularly impressed by the way the hotel manager handled an unpleasant situation involving a family with two very young children who had unknowingly booked through a fake travel agency and arrived without a valid reservation. She not only found a solution but treated the family with remarkable care and empathy, as if they were close friends. It was clear that she has the ability to make every guest feel special and truly looked after.
Every request we made was met with personal attention. Before our arrival, we casually mentioned by phone that we would need an electric kettle, and without any further reminder, it was already waiting for us in the room. We were also offered free transport to and from Bansko on New Year’s Eve, whenever we wished.
What truly makes this hotel stand out is the human connection: the relationships between staff and guests create a friendly, family-like atmosphere in which you feel comfortable, genuinely welcomed, and warmly accepted — an atmosphere that makes you want to return again. The resort is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, very close to Bansko village, with easy access to the ski lifts that take you straight to the snow-covered mountain. The hotel also provides a free shuttle van to Bansko, which was extremely convenient. The driver was excellent, professional, and always punctual.

The food was outstanding — fresh, tasty, and well-prepared every day. Breakfast and dinner were a real highlight of our stay. A very special mention goes to the Greek chef, Mr. Philippos, who is simply amazing. He is always present during breakfast and dinner, ensuring everything is perfect and greeting guests with warmth.

The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making our stay relaxing and pleasant. The entire staff was polite, friendly, and helpful, always ready to assist.

Location is perfect, the sight is amazing towards the mountain. The atmosphere and the stuff are very polite and cheery. The room is very nice, has everything you will need to stay for months lol, a bit chilly though even the radiators on max. It is clean and great prices! The restaurant is very nice as well, great food and great prices. It's very quite even if there is a party in the restaurant, you cannot hear the music in the room. There play rooms for the kids and also game room and fitness for the adults. Love the place!!

We would like to kindly clarify that our hotel does not offer an all-inclusive option, and this is not advertised. With lower occupancy, we serve dinner from a set menu, offering plenty of freshly cooked choices, and our à la carte menu provides additional variety.

All our rooms feature double beds, and we do not have queen-size options. Apartments are prepared with linens and towels upon arrival, and our housekeeping and reception teams are always happy to provide extra items whenever needed.

We are very sorry about the torn towel you were given. This does not reflect our usual standards, and we will address this with the housekeeping team right away. We hope to welcome you back again and provide you with an improved experience.

The food is limited, it’s not like what we pay for all inclusive. When we book the room we asked for one bed but they are two separate. The hotel’s waiter give us a towels that are torn.

Depending on occupancy, we offer either a buffet or a set menu, both of which include a selection of salads, starters, main courses, and desserts to choose from.

Please note that all our rooms are equipped with double beds; we do not have queen-size beds available. Regarding the torn towel, please accept our sincere apologies. This is not in line with our standards, and we have addressed the matter with our Head of Housekeeping.

We changed the towels several times, and each time they gave us torn ones. We paid for a buffet meal, not a set menu, but there was no buffet. Also, there is no bedroom. There are two single beds pushed together. I mentioned a bedroom several times before we came. It is extremely inconvenient if one of us falls into the hole in the evening.The location and atmosphere was so good.

The all year round Balkan Jewel Resort , offers well-appointed, comfortable, studios, or 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and 1 Bedroom Delux Suites also just a short distance away our new 3 bedroom delux chalets . All apartments come with a bathroom including toiletries and are equipped with flat screen cable TV’s, telephones, irons, hairdryers and free wireless internet. The apartments have spacious living rooms with equipped kitchens, sofa bed or bedrooms. Most apartments have a balcony traditional wood burning fireplace and a balcony and are available upon request. Our 3 bedroom chalets have 3 double bedrooms, a large lounge and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, 1 ensuite and 1 guest bathroom a garden and outside eating area.
