A really good chalet with great facilities and good standards. Food and staff levels of service are great. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very relaxed and at home. Resort management by Ski Vertigo was great too.

Very good but not ski in ski out

Had such an amazing week staying at Chalet Aigle! the host, both Jess and James were amazing all week. Great fun to be around and the food was delicious every night! 

The chalet was in the perfect location for skiing and after a really good dump of snow was ski in and out to the front door for even the not so experienced skiers! 

The chalet itself was perfect for big family meals and games after a good day skiing. The icing on the cake was the amazing wellness centre that helped cure all the bruises after a day on the slopes and the to die for cakes made by Jess and James! 

The main town is only a short walk away and with a very handy shop only a 5 minute walk away, the chalet and hosts made for a unforgettable week!

Amazing week, Chalet and hosts!

Chalet clean, warm and welcoming. Hot tub, sauna and steam room are a real bonus after day on slopes. Food and drink really good. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts James and Jess. Can ski in and out provided not a beginner.... free shuttle available if you don’t fancy the 10 minute( max) walk to the main lifts/pistes. Will definitely will be paying a second visit! 

Great base for ski holiday

As stated above this was our first chalet holiday and I suspect we will be spoilt for any other. We had a last minute deal (3 days before the holiday) but all the information we needed to smooth our journey was with us within hours of booking. We drove and needed chains (which we already had and knew how to use) to get up the mountain due to heavy snowfall but were able to unload the car directly outside the chalet before parking it in one of the underground car parks in Tignes. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable with plenty of room for our things. There was hot porridge, cereal, and croissants with a cooked breakfast in the mornings,  a fridge available so we could leave bits for sandwiches, the steam room, sauna and outdoor hot tub were fab after a hard day’s skiing, and after the first day we worked out how to ski back to the door. The afternoon cakes and evening meals were plentiful with enough wine, and Christmas dinner was very well adapted to what is available in France. Chalet Royale is a 10 minute hike from the superb skiing in Tignes, so a shuttle is available to take you from the chalet to within 30m of the Palafour lift every morning at a time of your choosing. Jess and James the chalet hosts were always cheerful and helpful. The hosts have a French contract so have 2 days off a week so you will have to eat out twice during the stay, but they worked so hard on other days they certainly deserved their time off. Nothing was too much bother for them, and they had extra work to clear 1m or more of snow that fell while we were there.

First family chalet holiday and we were no disappointed!

Great week here in Tignes. Staff super helpful in the chalet and with transport to get to the slopes. Warm and comfy chalet - plenty of space in the rooms and facilities. The spa staff provided much needed recovery massages and treatments...I would recommend the chalet and company. 

Splendid weeks ski at this chalet

Chalet Aigle Royal is a self contained chalet sleeping up to 15 people in 7 en-suite bedrooms over 3 floors. There’s also a seperate Annexe for 4 people if your group is larger than 15. Chalet Aigle Royal is now exclusive to The Tignes Chalet Company. This beautiful chalet is the flagship choice of The Tignes Chalet Company, and was built by a local family in a classic Savoyard style. It has been finished to a great standard with modern fittings. The interior is light and bright, with large windows making the most of the amazing scenery. The lounge area is large and has lovely stone and wooden features along with a log burner to keep you cosy after a day on the slopes. There is a large South-facing terrace accessed from the living/dining area. The self contained professional kitchen means our hosts can create hearty and tasty meals for you to enjoy. The chalet benefits from a sauna, steam room and hot tub on the first floor ensuring you relax whilst on your winter holiday!
