A nice comfortable, affordable hotel which has been ideal for a Ski trip with my son. 
The breakfast is buffet style and serves early to get an early start for skiing. 
We then used the free shuttle bus they supply to the gondola station in town.
It's about 25 mins walk back through the lovely old town in the evenings, or a reasonably priced taxi. 
Some of staff have a grasp of English and all of them have been pleasant. 
A little out of the busy town, but fine if your main focus is a nice base to relax after a day in the mountains.

Bankso ski trip

We stayed for 4 days but our apartment was on the third floor, so we had to go up a lot of stairs - there's no lift.  This was ok for us but wouldnt have been for children/elderly.
The breakfast was only ok but we didn't expect much so were not really disappointed.
The apartment was great - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living area and small balconies.
The garden was very nice, plenty of room around the small pool (which was very cold).

No lift

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days on a ski trip. The hotel was clean but that's where the positives ended.  The customer service is not existent and the restraunt was not worth the trip. One of the ladies in the restraunt was so miserable she was actually making people feel uncomfortable.  
The rooms in the hotel were very basic to say the least but the worst thing was the pillows had definitely seen better days.  When asked if they would change them we were told they would see if they have any? 
The overall experience was dampened by the hotel but the city itself was very beautiful.

If you are looking for English speaking, international standards and English food, don't book here.
We had a great time. The staff were very friendly and appreciated our attempts at saying good morning and thank you in Bulgarian and couldnt have been more helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. 
The WIFI signal was excellent as was the hot water in the shower room.
Towels changed every other day and jumbo towels given to guests using the Spa.
The Spa was lovely, ice dunk pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi with 2 very hot (or cold if you prefer) showers. Changing rooms also in the Spa area and a small fitness room with exercise bike, ski walker and weights. 
Free shuttle bus up to the base of the mountain, great if you have skis, but the walk up to the base station is not too bad either, just all up hill.
The bar serves drinks and these seem pretty cheap.
The only down side is the food. The English translations are a bit hit and miss (vitamin salad consists of raw grated beetroot and carrot).
There are plenty of great restaurants in town, if you really don't want, or like the Bulgarian cuisine on offer. 
Would I come back, yes probably, it was a great experience

The hotel is located at the entrance of Bansko. It is very easy to find. There is private parking. Not expensive. Good service. The food is delicious. The rooms are good, but no balcony unfortunately. In the center you are for about 5-10 minutes by walking. Sleeping pillows are bad.
