Went on a ski holiday here over Christmas. All staff /owners were lovely -friendly and helpful. 

We arrived slightly late after the flight sharing our transfer from the airport was delayed,  Reception was empty when we arrived and they were not expecting us till 3pm check-in.....I'm assuming this was down to a lack of communication from our travel company Crystal. However once we located someone they dropped everything to show us around the hotel and allowed us to check in to our room early.

 Room was a very good size for the three of us and had a great view down the valley. It was clean and had everything we needed. Main bed was comfortable. My daughter was on a sofabed (a little hard but better quality than in most hotels) and there was still plenty of space to walk around/ store cases. There was a free key operated safe in the room. Soap and shower gel were provided, as were cotton buds/pads/ nail files. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. No fridge in the room, but we had a large private balcony so just put drinks outside to cool.

Great that ski hire was available in the hotel (the owner was really helpful with advice on this and also on suggesting suitable runs to try) and would have been very convenient for the Neustift lift, but unfortunately it wasn't open yet due to a lack of snow. There were two other main ski areas though, accessible via the ski bus (bus stops very close), and the hotel was located between the two. We didn't use the free toboggans as the runs were not open, but did go on a lovely snowy walk up the valley on our last day (free bus back). There were two supermarkets close by, and a ticket office for ski passes. Lots of information leaflets, maps, bus timetables available in reception.

There was a really fantastic spa area in the hotel with many different sauna/ steam room types and a jacuzzi (note to Brits - you can wear swimwear if you like). Spa towels are provided and bathrobes are available from reception. Make sure you bring flip flops/ slippers as we must have looked silly walking through the hotel in a bathrobe and trainers. There is a separate set of stairs for the spa though, so you are not walking through the public areas.

Food was good quality and plentiful. Each evening there was a salad buffet, soup course, choice of two mains (chosen at breakfast in the morning) and dessert. Drinks were reasonably priced -the same as  prices we encountered outside of the hotel. Breakfast was a buffet with mostly cold meats and a wide selection of cheeses and breads. The were also 4 hot items available (usually boiled and scrambled eggs, plus either sausages/bacon/beans). There was also jams/cereals/a small selection of fruit and yoghurt plus juice drinks and hot drinks. We had a special dinner on Christmas eve with seven (?) courses.

A few minor niggles/ suggestions:-
The hotel is very warm. A bit too warm really especially in the bedroom. We had the window open all night (in winter) and were still hot in bed (thick duvet and no sheet). Perhaps some lighter bedding options would help?
There were a few pastries provided at breakfast but not enough. They were often all taken by one or two lucky tables and not topped up. We managed three pastries between us over the week. Please can you provide more, or space them out over the breakfast period.
Shower in the room was a little disappointing considering the excellent standard of the rest of the facilities. It was a hand held shower fixed to a rail over the bath, but you had to physically hold it over yourself as when fixed to the rail it only watered the wall. Shower in the spa area were amazing though, so I suspect most guests just used these, but would be nice if you could have a good shower in the room.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday  at the Tirolerhof and would return to this hotel if we are in the area again.

Very good stay

2nd visit to The Tirolerhof in 3 months; beginning and end of Summer season.
Both stays excellent and the staff did seem genuinely pleased to see us this 2nd time!
Hotel has a real family feel and everyone is happy to help out at any time.
Rooms are clean and beds are extremely comfy. All public areas are also cleaned to a high standard and there is a really homely vibe in this fantastically situated hotel.
Great choice of food for breakfast and evening meal and they appear to have introduced an option of being able to miss evening meal for a credit to your bill...just in case you fancy a pizza!
Really no need to say how close you are to various walks and the local bus service...the supermarket across the road is also open again.
You won't be disappointed if you choose The Tirolerhof for your Neustift vacation...already planning to stay next year.

Great, Late Summer Stay

We have just spent a fantastic week at Alpenhotel Tirolerhof. We are a family group of 11 people ranging from 11 to 76 , and the hotel catered for us perfectly. Celebrating our Golden wedding here was the best decision as it could not have been more perfect. All the rooms are very spacious, especially the family rooms. The food was tasty and plentiful, even for one picky teenager. Everywhere was really clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Sjolt and the reception staff. Neustift is an excellent destination for a family holiday. Thank you

Superb hotel for a family holiday

Excellent location. Superb staff and attentive. Spacious and clean rooms. Very good food. Fantastic swimming pool and Wellness suite. Added benefit of the Stubai Card giving free access to lifts, bus and other facilities.  A short transfer time from Innsbruck. Varied choice of walks from easy, moderate to challenging. 
We will be back as there are many more and different walks to be undertaken. 
P.S. we love Austria for its cleanliness, efficiency and friendly people. 

Summer walking holiday 

Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, East Anglia, England

This is our third stay at The Tirolerhof and it never disappoints.
Even though this was their first week of opening for the season, everything was more than ready to welcome guests and it really is impossible to pick fault.
The staff are friendly and attentive and are happy to help in any situation...from replacing forgotten chargers...to looking for missing socks blown from the balcony!
The food is excellent; from the help yourself breakfast to the wonderful hearty evening meal. Great vegetarian option also.
Rooms are clean and serviced everyday and the outside space around the pool area has been fantastically upgraded with new chairs etc.
The hotel is in the ideal spot for the many Alpine walks and the regular bus service gets you further afield.
Again, this hotel is great but it's the staff at this family run establishment that enhance your stay tenfold.
