The staff is very friendly, owner himself runs the business and since he lives in the same building, all possible issues will be solved fast!
The location of Hotel Garni Ida is very good- it locates at the edge of the village away from the crowds and jet just 10 minutes on foot from the Ski lifts.
Rooms in the hotel are spacious and well equipped.
Hotel possess ski lockers at the Fimba lift ski depo, so there is no need to carry your gear every day back to the hotel.
If you choose to have the breakfast at hotel, then you will be not disappointed- breakfast has wide and fresh selection of food.
Hotel also has surprisingly good sauna facilities, which are free for hotel quests.

Hotel Garni Ida is superb place to stay!

Hotel Ida is amazing! From the first step inside the structurally magnificent hotel, I was welcomely greeted by the owner Gerthart (Garry). Having never been to Austria before, he provided helpful information regarding my ski trip. Before heading out to the slopes, he would always provide a detailed snow report and recommendations on where to ski depending on the conditions. Super useful! He is also a wonderful mountain guide so don’t think twice before booking a tour.

I had purchased the breakfast and lift ticket bundle at Hotel Ida. The breakfast selection was absolutely delicious in which I would wait endlessly for each morning meal. The buffet consisted of a variety of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, vegetables and fresh fruit. I started my way with some scrambled eggs with orange juice... yummm and making my way into dessert with hot coffee and homemade crispy croissants. The beautiful breakfast room is filled with large windows and crafted wooded ceilings making it the perfect start to your day.

The hotel is about a 7 minute walk to the gondola and ski lockers. The location is ideal; not directly in the party town and not too far. There are several 5 star hotels like fliana which are directly at the base of the ski resort. This area can get really loud at nights when the streets are filled with partying vacationers. Also, there is a supermarket called Billa 5 minutes away... 

The room was an art piece in itself! My favorite was the wooden headboard and the rainfall shower head. In addition, the room had a balcony! The hotel is themed by Garry’s mountaineering journeys ... from pictures of climbing South America to prayer flags from Mount Everest. Lastly Ida’s sauna area is an excellent end to a ski day. A peaceful, relaxing environment to rejuvenate with a selection of essential oils such as eucalyptus.

This hotel has a special place in my heart. Hope to come back soon and thank you Garry for making this the best inspiration trip ever.

I stayed here for a week while skiing in Ischgl. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room was very spacious with a balcony and a very nice, recently renovated bathroom. The hotel is located about 10 minutes by foot from the lifts. You can store your skis and equipment in heated lockers by the lift for free. The breakfast was very tasty too. I would definitely recommend it!

The hotel staff was very nice, very good treatment, giving useful advices.
Hotel condition perfect, very clean and warm, will definitely come back visit the site staying in this hotel!
Located at very quiet area with great view of nature, facilities are well operated (sauna, ski room, showers...)
