Typical Austrian Guesthouse and family owned and very friendly. Very comfortable rooms. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Unusual menu which included 'Pigs Nose'. Desserts were good and included a 'Salzburger Knockerl'. Primarily a Ski Resort area but the town is lovely and old. Good location for touring and walking.

I've recently spend a night there on a business trip. It's been out of season, with no snow around and therefore the whole scene looked very unreal and over the top. It probably would have been a different scenario if it is high season and you stay there after a day on the slopes, but being there in May, the whole scenic hotel theme was just to much to bare for my liking. The heavy wood everywhere, paired with a selection of stuffed animals hanging in the hall way.... more night mare than relaxed sleep.

However the room was ok and clean, breakfast was plenty and quite a selection, so overall it wasn't too bad.

Unfotunately we were put to sleep in another hotel down the road, but we had dinner at the Weitgasser and we were transported by them to our next destination. Dinner was fine, and the personal contact we had with the staff was so nice.. We would not doubt staying at the hotel next time.
