Friends invited us to share a week here. With such good write ups we thought we were in for a treat. Mixed feelings. Room was OK (Hotel Kertess is much nicer). But for a hotel that promotes its' restaurant, we were disappointed that food was prepared with so little finesse. Fish (twice) and a mixed grill all overcooked. Deserts poorly presented eg a stodgy cheesecake slab cut from a catering tray and begging for a coulis, served dry. 

Wine outrageously overpriced for a captive clientelle. Interestingly, a glass of prosecco was  offered gratis at breakfast ...but as far as we could tell, not many guests imbibed. It would have been more generous and appropriate to offer it at supper.

Waiting staff overly friendly (at least our was) and wanting to become your favourite relative. 

The hotel does have a Sauna (naturist). It also has a pool, which is textile and cold. We found the leisure centre in town much nicer.

I had the pleasure of spending a couple nights at this hotel this summer.  My stay was nothing short of magical.  Starting with my room which was perfect and very comfy to  the amazing staff and delicious food. I wish I had planned a longer stay and I will in the future. Great location with amazing views. Pop into the bar and say hi to Dominik as well as the entire Shranz family.  Don't forget to relax in the day spa. Can't wait till my next visit to St Anton and will be staying at Hotel Karl Schranz.

Amazing place with even better people!

Excellent friendly family run hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive during our stay for the last week of the ski season. The shuttle bus driver was very helpful taking us the short distance to the gondola. The pool was nice and refreshing with amazing views from the sauna. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay (even on a ski holiday) and would return back.

Lovely people staffing the restaurant - mainly Greek - but service standards are poor. 
Dirty dinner plates left on table waiting to be cleared while the serving staff are busy clearing side tables to prepare for breakfast.  The dessert might never have arrived but for being requested. 
Inconsistent service with no oversight.
