The hotel has an indoor pool, dry sauna, and daily breakfast. The staff were wonderful. The location is also great, near the center of town.

The downsides are as follows: the basic rooms are very small and the queen beds are actually two twin beds side-by-side, a small shower that would not accomodate anyone larger in size and the entire bathroom is tiny also, and most importantly for some people is that the wi-fi needs great improvement.

Improvement suggestions for the owners:

1. Install refillable shower gel, shampoo,and conditioner stations in the shower area
2. Upgrade the wi-fi (the current system is very spotty and less than 10mbps speed)

The Hotel Roter Hahn in Garmisch is good in certain areas and bad in others

Fantastic location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a short walk into Garmisch each evening for dinner and/or drinks and as we drove it was centrally located to sites we wanted to see. The swimming pool was also welcomed with temperatures in the 30 Celsius range during our stay. Would definitely return.

We spent 4 nights at Hotel Roter Hahn.  The room was very comfortable and quiet and had a superb view of the Zugspitze.  Waking each morning to see the sun rising on the mountain was incredible!!!!  The staff was very friendly.  The breakfast was excellent.  The walk to the train station was 5 min and to the main street in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was not much further

Simply an awesome place to use as a base to explore the region!!!!

Superb hotel with incredible view

We loved the atmosphere and setting inside the restaurant. The service was outstanding and offered us a meal suggestion which turned out to be some of the best food we’ve eaten in Germany. I would highly recommend getting one of their Radlers!
