The hotel is housed in a beautiful old building but unfortunately probably haven’t seen much renovation recently. The furnishings are pretty old although mixed with some cool modern touches. The walls are paper thin and the bathroom is not more than a hole in the wall. On the other hand it is reasonably priced compared to most other Andermatt hotels making it a reasonable choice for a one-night stay. The breakfast is sorely missing some Swiss must haves such as birchermüsli.

You get what you pay for- this is a 2 star hotel, and that is excacly what you get. Ok value for the money in Andermatt. 

What was good:
-The hotel front side is charming, so is the dining hall. 
-Location is perfect
-Cozy, old vibe in the hotel
-ok room, with ok bed.
-New bathroom
-Nice staff

What was bad:
-Missing a shower gel and shampo in cans in the shower. You just get small plastic bags with shower gel.
-There was just a few things to choose from the breakfast buffe. The bread and buns are good, but there could have been a few more things to choose from. 
-The smoking and ash-tray at the entrance should be removed. Very strange place to have this.. Always staff and other people smoking there- should not happen in 2022.
-The plastic sign to their resturatnt should also be switched with something more rustic to match the hotel.

Perfect location- cheap rooms

Stayed here with a group of high school students.  Wouldn't recommend for high school students.  It's a cute little hotel but very old.  No air conditioning.  No screens on windows to let in the air.  Had to pay for wifi.  Breakfast was good.  Probably a great place for a little getaway to ski.  But not really recommend for high school groups.

We ate at the Restaurant "da Stefano" which is the Hotel Restaurant open to outside guests also.
The place is fairly small, pleasant, tables well set. The kitchen is varied and not only Italian despite the name, although it includes pizza and many Italian dishes. Not overly expensive by local standards.

An old hotel which has been refurbished cheaply and bad quality. On arrival there was a lot of ice at the entrance to the hotel and restaurant which had not been sanded or salted, and was extremely slippery. The entrance stank of old cigarettes. Greetings rather cold upon arrival. The 2 rooms we rented were small, no room to open a suitcase properly and no where to put ones suitcase. The bath is not suitable for short or elderly people, too high to climb into. Our bed was old with the varnish peeling off. No fridge in the rooms, no tea/coffee facilities in the room, no safe. The personnel we saw were not of German mother tongue and did not speak French or English. Breakfast very minimal - nothing hot to eat. Very little information available on Andermatt, no maps on the area, no information on trains, etc.
