This is a lovely hotel.  The staff are friendly and helpful, and it is just a short walk up the road opposite the hotel straight to the slopes.  If you can already ski, don't walk down to the lift station at the bottom of the road.
There is a kettle in the room which is a bonus, and the hairdryer in the bathroom is very powerful so you don't need to pack either of these.
The breakfasts were great, and the salad buffet at dinner is fantastic with lots of choice, but we found the main meals just OK, the hotel seems to be catering for their English customers.  We would have preferred more Italian food.  But I suppose you can't please everyone.  We would definitely come back here.

Fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. They can’t do enough for their guests and take pride in going above and beyond. Food was great, and service exceptional. Would highly recommend anyone staying here. We had a group of 23 and everyone is agreement we would return over and over again. Thank you hotel splendid for everything!

Fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel

The food was average. The water pressure for our shower was rubbish. The beds were short and narrow. I didn’t report this to staff as not sure what they could have done apart from maybe change our room. 

The bar has strange opening times. They closed it at midnight one evening while people still using it and a debate took place which ended up with the manager intervening and keeping the bar open. Another night we returned at 10:30pm from eating out (our large group) and they had closed the bar. No one there. 

Bar snacks only available on a Sunday which is a toasted sandwich. So if you’re hungry, you need to wait until the restaurant opens at 7:30pm. 

If you want to go down into town in the evening it’s about a 20 min walk back up the extremely steep hill. The bus service ends at 5pm. 

Last year we stayed at the Relais Des Alpes in town. Food was superb although most people in our group found the beds very hard. But half distance to the Clotes lift. 

You can get the bus with Crystal over to Montgenevre but you’ll need to carry your skis n boots all the way back down to where the coach drops you on your arrival.  

Be aware that you could be picked up by Crystal at 5am on your return to the airport and have to walk down the steep icy hill in the dark to the coach park. That wasn’t fun.

The service iin thsi hotel is fantastic. The staff are so helpful & so pleasant.
We stayed here for a ski hol & one of our group has an extreme nut allergy. Once we informed the tour company (Crystal) & the hotel they were so helpful in helping to avoid any issues. We were assigned a lovely waiter (Mirkow) who, every night, would walk our friend around the buffet table & point out what was safe to eat & what was not safe to eat. He would point out if any of the main course dishes were unsafe & the kitchen even hand made some of the desserts to ensure they were safe.

This level of service was 10 times better than the service we received in a 4 star hotel in Kitzbuhel.
