We enjoyed a delicious, authentic lunch here before we set out on a beautiful hike above the restaurant on the excellent hiking trails. The service was friendly, kind, and attentive. We highly recommend it! Extremely family friendly. 

Delicious food, friendly service, gorgeous location 

During our trans alp mountain bike tour we stayed at this gem in the mountains. Beautiful sitting in the centre of the village, and a real charming Tyrolese room with a fabulous view to the mountains from the bed. Nice and clean rooms in on3 of the buildings.

Stayed one night at the Crusch Alba while hiking in the Unterengadine. It's a beautiful old building with a nice garden, situated in a tiny hamlet. Lovely. Internet and mobile reception was poor, but I could get wifi if I sat close to the reception. Very friendly and helpful staff.

My room was a simple single room with shared toilet and shower. The soundproofing is rather poor, but otherwise the room is comfortable and room, as is the shared shower and toilet. 

The dinner on half-board plan was excellent. My only criticism is that service was somewhat inattentive, oerhaps because it was a busy night and I was alone. I often had to wait for a long time and show a desperate face before someone "remembered" me. They also forgot to give my order for a packed lunch to the kitchen. Fortunately, someone was there to help out with that when I checked out the day after and I got a sandwich (but not the rest of the order). These things happen.

The hotel also offers free "hiking tea" in the hotel's driking bottles. I didn't take it, relying on my single water bottle; but I regretted it later because there was no shop or restaurant to buy drinks that was open between S-charl and Tarasp, and the day was very hot.

At just over 100.00 CHF on half board, this is definitely good value, and I would definitely stay again at the Crusch Alba. I also warmly recommend the entire region, it's really beautiful.
