We are sincerely sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few important points to ensure an accurate understanding of our concept and services.

Les Balcons de Val Thorens is a 4-star tourist residence, not a traditional hotel. As clearly stated at the time of booking and throughout our communication, our accommodations operate on a self-catered residence model, which includes optional hotel-style services. The security deposit, as well as the conditions related to end-of-stay cleaning and linen collection, are standard practices for this type of accommodation and are fully detailed prior to arrival.

Regarding the restaurant, spa, and residence facilities, we regret that they did not meet your personal expectations. Our restaurant offers a deliberately concise menu focused on seasonal products, and our spa facilities comply with all hygiene and safety regulations, with regular controls carried out throughout the season. Access to certain facilities via outdoor walkways is also inherent to the architectural design of high-altitude residences and is clearly indicated.

We take note of your comments concerning maintenance and service. While we do not share your assessment, your feedback has been forwarded to the relevant teams as part of our ongoing quality monitoring process.

Les Balcons de Val Thorens – fake 4 stars

I stayed here from January 17 to January 24, 2026.
This place has nothing to do with a 4-star hotel. Old, worn-out and poorly maintained, with bad and indifferent service.
The restaurant offers very limited food choices, low quality, no variety.
The spa is unacceptable – poor hygiene, no hot water, and access only by going outside, which is absurd in winter.

A security deposit is required and deducted if guests do not clean the room themselves and collect bed linen and towels. At the end of the stay, you are treated like a cleaner, not a hotel guest.

This is not a hotel but a shelter with wrongly assigned stars.
Absolutely not recommended.

“Fake 4-Star Hotel – Complete Disappointment”
