Lovely centrally located apartment in Chamonix town. Very convenient for train, shops and restaurants and yet very peaceful. Lovely terrace (if you have the first floor apartment) to relax on.

We went to Chamonix in early June for some walking and general R&R with 4 other friends, the Val d-Arve Apartments are right in the centre of Chamonix, only a short walk to the Aiguille Du Midi telepherique, with a lovely view out of the front window towards Mont Blanc. We booked through Collineige and stayed in number 10, it was simple inside but very clean with nice bathrooms and kitchen. If it was winter we would have got the lovely wood burner going! Highly recommended.

My husband & I stayed 7 nights in a 1-bedroom apartment, and our friend rented the apartment next door to ours (also a 1BR).  The apartment was basic, but very well kept up.  Decor was a bit sparse but the furniture (beds, chairs, couches) were comfortable.  The heat worked well, the shower was hot, all appliances were in good repair, and the kitchen was stocked with all the equipment you'd need to make a dinner for 4.  They also stock you with orange & apple juice, milk, and butter & jams.  While they provide linens & dishwashing liquid / sponges, you should plan to bring your own shampoos & soaps.

Other features included a ski locker, 1 parking spot per apartment, and free WiFi if you have your laptop.

Our host, Iain, met us upon our arrival, talked a bit to us about the area, and best of all delivered a baguette and croissants every morning before we hit the slopes.  They also offer more services like getting your lift tickets for you, doing grocery shopping, equipment rentals, etc., but we did not use these services. However, when we told Iain we were out of orange juice & low on toilet paper, he was over within an hour with new stock.   He checked in with us throughout our stay but was not at all intrusive. 

The location is excellent, right on the Rue du Docteur Paccard (intersection with Avenue Aiguille du Midi) in the heart of Chamonix.  We were about a 5 minute walk from a ski shuttle bus stop, and minutes from tons of restaurants, bars, and shops.  

Beware - while the 1BR apts are listed as sleeps 2-4, we weren't sure where the other 2 people would have slept if we showed up with 4. Be sure you know what the bed / couch situation is before you book!

Overall, a great experienc.  We would absolutely stay here again next time we're in Chamonix.

Great Location, Clean & Comfortable Lodging

As prime locations go it doesn't get much better than the Val d'Arve apartment 9, only 5 minutes from Chamonix's town square. Chalet-like in style with lots of wood and classic Alpine design this three bedroom apartment is genuinely spacious and comfortable. It has a well equipped kitchen, private parking, ski rooms and a lift. It has superb views of Mont Blanc from the balcony, and a wood-burning stove.
