Alpenrider organised not one but two trips to Kitzbuhel for me this winter. Once I got a taste for the place under Shevy's knowledgable guidance I couldnt help but book another trip a few weeks later. I found I was not alone in coming back- in fact many people I met had been to Kitz with Shevy before and were returning for their 2nd, 3rd, 100th time- it is testiment to how good alpenrider is!

Shevy and his trusty second in command Josh were truely excellent guides- caring, organised, entertaining and informative. I felt free to do my own thing and at the same time so welcomed into group dinners, nights at the legendary Londoner hotel, snowboarding sessions and everything in between, and was surrounded by all sorts of super friendly and fun people. Shevy is known and loved by all in Kitz and through him you can feel like a real local. 

Some examples of going above and beyond: rushing to the mountain to help a friend who had hurt their knee and carrying her to safety when Shevy was injured himself, getting us into the best pub in town on new years eve when we had no other plans (saving us over $100 on entrance fee!), plus private snowboarding guiding/lessons if its a quiet day... Can't say enough good about these guys, am counting down the days until I'm back! Sending hugs from Aus! -Hinesy

Felt like a local

We booked a holiday with Alpenrider from 26 Dec 2015 to 2 Jan 2016 and we cannot stop telling everyone back here in SA what an amazing experience we had! 

From collecting us at the Munich airport, settling us into our accommodation in Kitzbuhel to restaurant recommendations & bookings to nights out on the town, I cannot express how amazing the service was!  We arrived at our guest house and we were thrilled to see that we were treated with a stocked fridge, chocolates and even home baked cookies that we ate upon arrival! 

Shevy & his team took us out around the town to familiarize ourselves with the location of the guest house to the area so as not to get lost.  If we struggled to get a booking for dinner, Shevy went the extra mile and insured that we got a reservation & his recommendations on where to eat were always great with excellent food & drinks.  

Helping us South Africans with ski lessons, getting an amazing ski instructor and even going up on the mountain with us to snap some shots was truly special.  We didn't feel like just another client, we felt as if we were old friends and we created special friendships & we hope to book another trip very soon or when our Rand gets better haha! Thank you Alpenrider team, keep up the great service!

Alpenrider complete package tour!

This is my second stay with AlpenRider - the first for Mountain Biking in the summer and this time for winter pursuits. Once again it was a top experience from start to finish! The team working the chalet can not do enough to make sure you stay is perfect! They really do bend over backwards to ensure this happens and that is what makes it so amazing.
The place is lively from dusk until dawn... As long as you understand that from the off then you will have the best time ever! I would definitely recommend!

Proper, young travellers accommodation. Basic amenities but very friendly, helpful staff! Definitely more suited to large same sex groups rather than couples. The bar is open all night and the music continues with it. 

Shevy, the owner will dig out blind to make your stay as awesome as possible and he succeeds!

I would come here again with the lads, maybe not with my girlfriend though.

Great for partying!

This place is absolutely brilliant! What Shevy and Bianca have created is something so unique and fantastic. Travelling solo, I have never felt so welcomed and can't rave enough about the special care they took of me. I felt like I was a part of the family and had such a fabulous time!! Everything about the place is awesome - food, accommodation, staff, location, atmosphere, value for money - there really is nothing else quite like it! With home run stopping meters from the door step, amazing views and always someone to ski or snowboard with, whether in a group or on your own, you are guaranteed a good time. Arriving at a new place yesterday, it is clear I am not going to find a gem better than alpenrider during the rest of my travels!
