We have just spent 10 nights/11 days at this wonderful place. This is our second time at this hotel. We stayed here for the first time last March 2019, and loved it so much that we returned again this year. We cannot recommend this place enough. Ideal for winter holiday, 100 yards from the ski pass office, chairlift and ski runs. Fully adapted storage lockers for equipment. Rooms are beautiful with a typical alpine log cabin decoration and a gorgeous view onto the mountains. Half board is worth while, excellent buffet breakfast and dinners. The chef is the world champion of soups! Sauna and beautiful a la carte restaurant also available. The place is a gem and the people who run it are the kindest you can find. Nothing is too much trouble should you need anything during your stay. Do not forget when you leave the hotel and turn right, to stop at the nearby chocolate shop called 'La Marjolaine', the best chocolates in the world.

We were made very welcome throughout our stay.  All the staff were helpful, especially Laszlo.  We arrived quite late on our first evening but great hot food was freshly prepared.  The barmaid was friendly and the service was good.  The hotel has a great ambiance and the location is central and very close to the ski lifts.

This is our second stay in this hotel and we came back as the last holiday was lovely.

Room
Room 304 was very comfortable and clean and the towels were changed as a mind when required. The only issue with the room was the door which was a nightmare to open and close. You had to pull it in a particular way to be able to turn the knob! A minor fault though as the room overall was 4.9/5

Facilities
It’s a 3 star so you can’t expect the Ritz but it does have a bar and a sofa seating area with pool table, downstairs is a sauna open from 5-7.30pm and a ski locker room, so overall facilities are good. 4.5/5

Restaurant 
Breakfast is excellent, lots of choice from cooked food to the usually crossiant and pain au chocolate, coffee machine is a bit temperamental but overall happy with offerings. 5/5
Dinner was very hit and miss from excellent to passable. The main issue was that the buffet had very little for children. The first two nights there was pasta but from then the food was not child friendly. I politely suggested that it might be a good idea just to do a simple pasta meal each night for th children but I imagine the message wasn’t passed on to waiting staff, as a result nothing changed and 3 out of the 6 nights we had to take the children out to eat. Dinner 2/5. I should add though that the desserts were always good. Desserts 5:5

Location
Although the hotel has a ski locker it’s too far to carry your skis back each night from the slopes but there are plenty of places you could leave you skis at the slope to prevent you needing to carry them back and forth each day. It is also quite close to the resort nightclubs so be prepared for some noise late in the evening, didn’t bother us too much though. Location 3/5

Lovely hotel but room for improvement with food

A lovely friendly hotel, rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and speak excellent English. We had a family room and it was perfect and in a great location, only a short walk from Le Diable chair lift. We would recommend this place.

Lovely friendly hotel

Brilliant location in village, short walk from boot room to Diable lift. Local to most bars and restaurants. Had breakfast and dinner at hotel most days, always plenty to eat and of a high quality. Friendly staff throughout. Very highly recommended and we would gladly come back!
