Our group was a little worried to arrive due to the reviews below however we found the hotel to be great for a ski trip.

Rooms - we all had rooms at the front which were the biggest ski resort rooms I've ever had along with a mini fridge, kettle and TV. Very clean and new towels provided. Never had any issue with noise or the shower as it was always hot. 

Food - I honestly have no idea what people are complaining about. It is only a small buffet area however it has everything you want for the price we paid. The food was different every night and alot of greek which was fab since all the staff are greek. 

Staff - all very lovely and helpful. Check in and out was easy. The lifts down to the ski lift were very easy to get and were waiting each morning then you just had to call between 4-5:30 for a lift back. He was also kind enough to give the group a lift back into town on night! 

Location - easy walk to the centre even in ski boots and the ski bus stop is outside which we used a few times to head to the other areas to start the day. 
Slope - it clearly says this on Crystal website and its really not that bad!

Overall, would come again!

I stayed at this hotel in January 26 with my two adult children

The Good:  We got a good late deal through Crystal as this hotel was cheaper than some others in Saalbach. Location is quite good with a short (8 min walk)  to the Schattberg lift where if you hired, you could store your skis & boots for free. The hotel does have a ski & boot room, we just chose to leave at the Schattberg lift for convenience. The hotel does also provide a shuttle to the lift, but we preferred to use the walk to warm up & stretch off. The hotel is clean and the hotel staff are lovely, but the food was a bit hit and miss - see below. Fresh towels are also regularly provided. 

The not so good: The food needs to be improved. Whilst its basic, the hot food served in a buffet format was often cold. So either was sat in the kitchen for a long time before or the hot plates it was put into weren’t effective. There was also no descriptions as to what was being served - put up a menu! Best food of the week was a Friday - which was chicken gyros and other Greek foods. We did get fed up sometimes and just ate out. There was three of us in a room and although the single beds were comfy, the room felt cramped. Other reviews have mentioned the shower / water pressure - it’s very weak especially when you turn it towards a warm setting, which was an issue for my daughter and her long hair. These are all things that could be improved and would make me more likely to return.

An okay budget hotel, clean and with friendly staff. Food needs improvement!

Certainly no panorama views from single room 31. Set at back of hotel with steep bank close to window.

Very noisy room as bed against corridor wall. Also very echoey due to sparse furnishings, and tiled floors throughout. 

Quite cold throughout hotel.

Food always luke warm. Pretty poor quality too. Bacon daily but scarcely cooked. Sausages also looked uncooked. 

Alll meals served up like school dinners except serve yourself.

Poor in all respects. Certainly not worth a return visit

hotel and rooms have not been updated since the 1968 world cup ..

fixtures and fitting some broken mismatched 

dining was … a complete and utter dogs dinner i would not serve the food to prisoners appalling and overcooked mush  

breakfast very poor if you were lucky you got a hardboiled egg 

staff all just polite but no sense of service 
i could go on …but crystal should not have this on their books 

i wont use them again overpriced and a most a hostel!!
