We are currently staying at this apartment and are very disappointed with our experience. The staff have been extremely rude and unhelpful, particularly the receptionist working on the 25th/26th named Anna, whose attitude has made our stay uncomfortable.

The apartment itself is very basic and worn. The walls have patchy paintwork, doors are peeling, and overall it feels tired and poorly maintained. We were also surprised to be charged extra for basic cooking items such as pots, pans, and utensils. When we asked what was included in the paid set, staff were reluctant to explain, which is unreasonable when you are paying extra for something. It’s misleading on the booking site that these are not included.

The fridge/freezer is faulty – the freezer compartment door is missing, meaning food in the fridge freezes even when set to a low temperature.

The only positive aspects are the pool and surrounding area, which look nice and are clean and quiet. Unfortunately, these are the only highlights. Overall, the accommodation feels more like basic student housing and does not live up to the photos or description online.

Due to the poor condition of the apartment and the lack of customer service, we would not stay here again.

Disappointing stay – does not match online description

This hotel is a huge disappointment! When you make the reservation, they say one thing, but when you get there, it's something else. I feel cheated. The studio doesn't meet the requirements.

Disappointed

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at “St. George Palace”. At the reception desk there is almost never anyone available and you wait a long time for assistance. We were given a room above the kitchens and it constantly smelled of food even during the night. The toilet cistern was leaking and dripping during the entire stay which was very annoying, and the bathroom mixers are a real challenge because it is almost impossible to set the water to a comfortable temperature. The “food” is absolutely terrible – the choice is extremely limited with only 3–4 dishes for breakfast and dinner, no variety, the taste is mediocre and unpleasant, especially considering the price, and to make things worse after every meal you spend 2–3 hours in the bathroom. In the restaurant the staff is slow, lazy, it takes 20–30 minutes to get service and their attitude is arrogant and dismissive. The “SPA” area is dirty, the pool is not cleaned and has yellow stains around the edges, the steam room works only when it wants, the jacuzzi is poorly maintained, only the sauna was acceptable. The hotel has potential, but in this condition I would not recommend it to anyone and we will definitely never return.

Very disappointing stay

Saint George Palace Bansko is 4* stylish Aparthotel with a modern design perfectly located on the border of the Pirin Mountain National Park. Apartments have an incredible mountain view faced at Pirin or Rila mountain or to the town of Bansko. You can also find summer garden and outside bar where you could have a good rest among the nature. The Relax zone is free of charge for all the guests. If you like Finnish sauna, steam room, fitness, massage center, jacuzzi, big indoor swimming pool leading to the inside yard with sunbathes for relaxation, Saint George Palace Bansko is the best place where you can find all this facilities. You can enjoy great service in the Restaurant, Bar Alexandra or Ascalon. The atmosphere in the complex is suitable for family and romantic holidays or congress and conference tourism.
