Breakfast was exceedingly sparse. The only eggs that were cooked were scrambled eggs and they were way too dry.
Even the meat and cheese came out in dribbles and there were long periods when there was nothing.
My single room was cold all the time with just 1 radiator in the bathroom
The staff were largely absent with very little in the way of service
The bar/restaurant allowed smoking and people were smoking cigars even.
Never showed the sauna, never saw the sauna.
The gentleman at checkin, as friendly as he was, gave us no information.
We were told, at the end of our stay, that Panorama Alm, which is on the mountain , and a main area for dutch week, would have given us discounts if we told them where we stayed due to same owners. A little late.
No tolerance for late checkout and 10am is too early.
Also, you cant see on the map easily but you have to walk around 300 to 400 metres up a steep hill to get to it from Saalbach village or any of the ski-lifts
For the price we paid, it was way overpriced and I've been coming to Austria twice a year for the past 20 years.
No way is this 3*. Just no way.

very disappointing

This was the worst experience and biggest waste of money. We looked forward to our skiing holiday for nearly a year only to have it ruined by pension Enzian. The staff is shocking to deal with, they are rude and not helpful at all. It place is filthy too!

Biggest waste of money!

Lovely Australian Guesthouse but wrongly managed. We were served a very basic breakfast (you even had to cook or fry your own egg), the Stube’s restaurant was closed at night although the hotel is equiped with a professional kitchen. The owners (a Young couple) let their dog take a s..t on their own parking lot on almost a daily base and just left his number 2 in the snow right next to our car. They also blocked their own parking lot with their cars with the effect that guests couldn’t leave the parking lot. And at night the staff and owners were drinking beer and wine at the bar with their backs turned to their guests in the Stube….

We passed a week at Pension Enzian, in the good care of Sarah & Kevin. 
This bed and breakfast is cozy, spotless, comfortable, conveniently located a short walk away from the center and offers a good breakfast with variety to start your day on a good foot. 

Located on a charming hillside where you can enjoy fresh alpine air from your own balcony, or a spacious terrasse with comfortable picnic tables and umbrellas, under the watchfull eye of their very peaceful, sweet, bear-like dog Ellie.

Thanks to the easygoing nature of the hosts and the good system in place, you'll feel at home quickly and won't miss anything.

There's even a very spacious sauna room below, where to tend to sore muscles and complete the loop of you healthy journey in this beautiful part of Austria.

Our pet cat was welcomed with open arms, as were other pets and owners.

We spent a fantastic week at Pension Enzian under the good care of Kevin & Sarah, the owners and hosts. Located close to the Schattberg Express, we were a 5 - 10 minute walk into town, so it was easy to get to/ from the gondola's and restaurants. We were a varied family group with grandparents, parents and kids from 10 -14. There were great room choices to suit each family and our accommodation was immaculate. Comfortable beds and hot showers were glorious after a day on the slopes. Breakfast was a simple affair with fruit, selection of breads, jams, cheeses, pate and a choice of eggs each morning. One evening a week, Kevin makes his delicious ribs! A generous helping with chips and an oozy chocolate fondant for dessert. Not having to head out into the cold was a welcome change, so I would recommend this to future guests. 
The Pension is warm and cosy with a delightful family feel to it. Ellie, the 70kg Newfoundland is usually lying near the front door ready to greet you with a waggle of her eyebrows, and Kevin & Sarah's son spent an afternoon playing in the snow with our kids. His Easter creation was also proudly displayed at reception too! In the evenings, Kevin was there to greet us and warm you up with a beer or schnapps.
After 5 days of ski school for some of the family, we all spent our last day with Sarah who personally guided us through the various slopes making sure we all kept up. It rounded off our whole experience of a superb family ski trip.

We rented lockers along with our ski gear in town, and we prebooked ski school for those who needed it in advance. Kevin and Sarah are happy to assist you in booking the right places. The Pension also has a room to store your ski gear as well. They can also provide restaurant suggestions for dinner. Our favourite was The Crazy Deer - lovely atmosphere with traditional and international menu options.
