Thank you for providing us with your honest feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, especially regarding our kitchenette facilities and customer service. We understand that parking in Banff can be a challenge. While our underground parkade is designed to accommodate many vehicles, we recognize that trucks and vehicles with rooftop carriers often face height restrictions. 

We are disappointed to hear that the supplies were inadequate. Our housekeeping team is tasked with ensuring all kitchenettes are fully stocked with a standard set of dishes and utensils; it is clear we missed the mark here, and we will be performing an immediate inventory check on our units. We also regret that you felt our staff was unavailable or unfriendly. This is certainly not the standard of hospitality we strive for. While we do not have an on-site restaurant, we usually pride ourselves on our team's ability to recommend the best local dining spots just a short walk away.

We value your feedback as it helps us identify where we need to focus our upgrades and training. We hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide the high-quality experience you expected.

Our stay here was quite disappointing.  We booked because we desired a place to stay while we were skiing the area and needed a kitchenette.  It is generally not possible to park underground with a truck or any vehicle with rooftop carriers and street parking is almost non-existent and incredibly inconvenient.  The kitchenette was very less than adequate as most of the dishes were missing, the fridge was tiny, and the space was not very usable. The front desk staff were not very friendly (if they were there at all) and the lack of a restaurant or breakfast location was a big miss for our family.
For the price we paid to stay here, I would have expected way more.  Most of the locations nearby were much nicer and cost considerably less.  We will not be staying here again.

Amenities lacking, very disappointing.

I am truly sorry that your second stay was so disappointing. While I am glad the space heaters provided some warmth, I understand that oscillating between a heater and AC is far from the relaxing experience we want for our guests.

Stayed at this place for the second time for a quick family trip. The weather was cold, as expected in February (-20 range) and the heating to our room didn’t work. After a couple complaints with the front desk who insinuated that we didn’t know how to work a thermostat, they finally sent a technician who agreed that the heater wasn’t working. It also seemed to be a common problem for them when the weather dips below a certain level. 
The hotel provided us with small space heaters that did the job but unfortunately don’t have a built in thermostat and blew hot air in our faces all night, so had to turn on the AC too. Made for an unpleasant sleep and stay and felt like we spent our time trying to sort out our room temperature instead of relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
We also tried the pool and the area was freezing, so went back to the room. The restaurant was closed for renovations at the time of our stay.
They do offer a shuttle into town and I did get bus tickets this time but would not advise this hotel in the winter months.

Unpleasant experience

Here is the full account of my experience:
On the night of December 13th, after returning to the hotel from work, I found the parking lot completely full. I drove around multiple times but was unable to locate an available parking spot. Since I needed to leave early the next morning around 10am, I decided to park in the driveway, ensuring I did not block any other vehicles.
At 8:30 am, I received a phone call that woke me up. The call was from the hotel staff, and it upset my family greatly. In response, I left a review to express our dissatisfaction.
Later, at 3:25 pm, I received a call from the general manager. He expressed his disappointment about my review and mentioned that he intended to have my car towed from all Banff hotels in the future. When I asked the purpose of his call, he claimed he wanted to discuss removing my review and argued that he was trying to do me a favor.
During check-in, no staff member informed me about parking procedures or alternatives when the lot was full. The way the general manager handled the situation was highly unprofessional—arguing with a guest and threatening to share my personal information across all Banff hotels. Such conduct is completely unacceptable in the hospitality industry.
Given this experience, I will never stay at this hotel again and plan to escalate the matter to the Banff Lake Louise Hospitality Association.

Rundlestone Lodge is our favourite hotel in Banff. The rooms are super cozy and spacious, and the beds and pillows are insanely comfortable. Every room has a kettle.  The hotel supplies soap and lotion that is quite high quality, but extremely scented, so if you have any perfume/scent sensitivities, you will want to bring your own bar of soap or body wash. There is a really nice pool and hot tub (the hot tub can fit up to 8 people) with a pleasant view of the mountains. The hotel is a bit of a walk into town, but they offer free bus passes for your trip as well as free heated underground parking! They even have a large stack of dvds you can borrow for free. The staff are friendly and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is so inviting. We'll definitely be back for our next Banff holiday.

Lovely getaway at the Rundlestone Lodge

We want to clarify that on our website, we clearly indicate that our Standard rooms face the interior atrium and a pool area. For guests who prefer an external view, we offer our Superior rooms, which are available for a small upgrade of $10 plus tax per night.

We understand that you found the room's decor dated, and we are sorry that it did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration as we plan future updates to the hotel. We hope the rest of your travels are more enjoyable.

This was our first hotel for a three night stay in September 25 .
Some rooms face the road and have daylight ,most face the interior swimming pool that is roofed .
The effect is akin to being in a cave ,only broken up by the occasional overweight man in Speedo’s peering into your room .
The room itself is dated and grim .
Should you end up with an itinerary that includes this hotel ,then demand a front facing room .
