After booking online, I called to inform that we all suffer from respiratory allergies and we needed a non smoking room and free from other smells. I also said we had 2 young children. The agent I spoke to was very kind and said she would observe this request. When we arrived at the place, we found out that we were accommodated in a room with carpet!!! The room was completely different from the ones we saw on the website. On the site they only post pictures of nice rooms. Ours was a nightmare. Besides the carpet, the bunk bed was located in the hallway, by the entrance of the apartment and in front of the bathroom (with no ventilation). 
Our room had a bunk bed and a sofa bed. The linen was in  a plastic bag on the floor. 
We had a sofa bed and a bunk bed. For the sofa bed we were given 2 fitted sheets for a single bed!!! And to make things worse, one of the blankets was for a crib (and we had no babies sleeping on a crib!).
Not to mention that our room was on the 4th floor with NO ELEVATOR.
We could´t negotiate anything with the reception because they do not work on Sundays. After spending one whole night awake, (yes, a person with respiratory allergies doesn´t feel well in a room with carpet!), I tried to contact them and could not have a positive answer. After contacting booking.com things started to be analysed. After insisting a lot to have our problem solved, we were offered another place at the end of the village ( would need to use the car for everything we wanted to do and see at the village. Yes, we need, have 2 young children).
After this, late in the afternoon another room was offered but then we were informed we would have to pay an upgrade fee. After so much inconvenience we would have to pay extra! After negotiating they waived the fee. 
This whole problem was only solved at 6 PM on the second day of our vacation. Stressful and frustrating. The 22nd room was cleaner and more comfortable.
