Alpbach may not be the highest resort in the Tyrolean Alps, but the natural snow coverage is ample for relaxed cruising, especially in January. Plus, plenty of snow cannons are on standby for when fresh dumps are few and far between. If you thought Alpach looked pretty, wait until you see it at Christmas! Twinkling fairy lights envelop glowing market stalls, and snow-dusted trees sparkle brightly. And if you’re looking for a mini getaway, Alpbach is only a 45-minute drive from Innsbruck - perfect for a long weekend or midweek skiing break.
