The days when resorts just catered for skiers are happily long-gone, and La Clusaz is one of those towns where you could have a blast and never step foot on a pair of skis. Alternative ways of descending the mountain include in the air, flying in a tandem paraglider, tobogganing and by various types of snow scooters and skates. La Clusaz is also home to an outdoor pool with views of the mountains that’s open all winter.
There’s also an ice rink, ice bumper cars, snowshoe hiking, ski joering and dog-sledding – plenty to build up an appetite. Fortunately, La Clusaz has a number of great restaurants serving everything from Savoyard specialities to pizza to take care of that.
