Best time to ski in Montgenevre

With a baseline altitude of 1800 metres, Montgenèvre is blessed with an excellent snow record from December to April. Plus, if epic bluebird days are on your wishlist, this is the place to be - the valley enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year. Bring on the goggle tan! Book a trip over Christmas to watch Père Noël ski into town via a torchlight procession. Or dial in your flow during March to enjoy long, warm days on the pistes. The slopes are relatively quiet all season, but avoid peak times to make the most of uncrowded pistes and pristine corduroy.

Things to do in Montgenevre

Mix things up with Montgenèvre's awesome non-skiing activities. A highlight has to be hurtling down the Monty Express toboggan run - the longest in France! Or why not take a snowmobile for a spin around the stunning snow-dusted forests. Looking for something more relaxing? The apres scene here is laid back and easygoing, so kick-back and grab some French crêpes or Italian pizza in one of the resort's many restaurants. Or why not unwind and soothe tired legs in the balneotherapy pools of Durancia Spa - utter bliss!
