Combine a jaw-dropping 2,000m of vertical descent with Swiss engineering efficiency and an historic 12th century village and you have the resort of Engelberg Titlis. Its lift system boasts the world’s first revolving cable car, which takes you from the middle station to the top of Titlis in just five minutes. The descent from the top is an epic thigh-busting ride, but to take full advantage of the terrain on offer, it helps to be a confident skier or boarder.
The off-piste potential and freeride terrain is limitless, but there are some beginner friendly areas lower down too. When your thighs can take it no more, take your pick from 16 mountain restaurants to recharge and soak up the epic views.
NEW TRAIN TRANSFER OPTION - you can now transfer by train from the airport, for a more environmentally friendly (and often cheaper) option. Win win!
