Set amongst six majestic peaks and overlooking the vast waters of Lake Tahoe, the skiing here is out of this world. Bask in the warm Western American sunshine and make the most of high altitude snowsure slopes with epic mountain vistas. Happy days! Things roll a little differently in Palisades, though, with each peak served by a graded lift rather than graded runs, so make sure you hop on the right line up the mountain! Experienced skiers can test their skills on monster moguls, steep chutes, and adrenaline-pumping drops. While intermediates and beginners can take it easy on long cruisey runs and wide gentle greens.

Palisades’ skiing season kicks off in November and lasts until May, so you’ll have heaps of time to make the most of the vast skiing area. Spring tends to be the best time for prime skiing conditions after big snowstorms from January to March. But with plenty of tree coverage, skiing is also possible during the wilder months. Looking to top up the goggle tan? Palisades Tahoe is one of the sunniest ski resorts in America. Cue big bluebird days on the slopes. Sunnies on! Top tip - the mountains can get pretty crowded at the weekends, so make the most of quieter runs during the week.
