This was the first experience of chalet accommodation while skiing.  Very impressed by the warm welcome from Tash on our late arrival and lovely warm food almost immediately.  We had great chalet buddies too which I think also added to the overall sense of cosy and friendly atmosphere at the dinner table each night.
The accommodation lends itself to seperate groups of people and the allocation of rooms worked well.
The location is great, a short stroll to the gondola and mountain train where you can get access to the rest of the mountain range.  We have a day and night of snow which was beautiful and made for lovely skiing and boarding.
Nice place to eat at the bottom of the train called something like Tufs, and a friendly bar just alongside the gondola that does good mulled wine.

Only thing to note, if you go French half term, the transfer is not 3.5 hours as in Neilson brochure, it took us 7 hours, not a pleaseant journey.

WiFi not great due to service provider issue.

Thanks to Natasha and Ritchie for being such great hosts for the week in this gorgeous, cosy, quirky chalet.  Great breakfasts, lovely well-cooked evening meals and cakes too. I put on 4lbs in the week :0
In fact we had such a good time in January that we're coming back in March. The skiing isn't bad either. In fact Val d'Isere has some of the best skiing we've ever encountered. Really varied terrain, some great mountain restaurants and of course Folie Deuce!
The chalet is a hop, skip and a jump to the gondola every morning. If, after your  dinner and wine you still have the energy then the delights of Val d'Isere are just a 10 minute shuttle bus away.  Having a daughter who's working a season In Val of course meant that we sampled many of the bars in town ;)
Made some great friends in the chalet too. Particular shout out to Paul and Oscar!

Liked it so much we're coming back!

We (group of 4 in two rooms) stayed here over Christmas 2019. We had a great time the hosts we excellent cooking lovely food and being friendly and helpful. Although the rooms are fairly basic, the beds were comfortable and the chalet was more than warm enough. We saw more of the chalet due to three days of heavy snow and was one of our best Christmas's. Would recommend to anyone

We went as a family of four on chalet night off and loved it. Kids (10&12) shared the fillet hot rock, they really enjoyed cooking their own meal. The duck was superb and the beef and mushroom was also very good. I would highly recommend the chèvre salad starter and local savoy wine. The waitress was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and she was very friendly. This place is a real find away from the hubbub of central Val-d’sere. We will definitely return next year.
