We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kia Ora and truly enjoyed every aspect of our visit. The service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and always helpful, which made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.

The breakfast was absolutely lovely, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day. The location is perfect, ideal for exploring the area and enjoying everything Wagrain has to offer.

A special mention goes to the restaurant and its fresh pizza takeaway – such a great bonus to have delicious, freshly made pizza available right on site after a long day.

We are already looking forward to coming back and would happily recommend Hotel Kia Ora to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent service, great food, and a perfect location.

A great family-run hotel with very friendly and helpful owners and staff.  Lovely clean rooms with good views, some with terraces.  The restaurant and bar were fantastic, filled with people from all over Europe and a great atmosphere.
Located between the two main ski lifts in Wagrain, both are within walking distance (preferably not in ski-boots!).  There is also a ski-bus stop only 50m away

Below are some of the reasons for my 5-star review of Kia-Ora Hotel, Wagrain
1.	Christian and Anna. The owners are just delightful – welcoming, kind and lots of fun. They obviously love running their hotel. They are always around to provide any advice. As you can imagine with a family-run, recently-renovated hotel, great attention has been paid to every detail.
2.	Cleanliness. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, even the boot room.
3.	Location. The walk to the ski bus stop takes less than a minute, then it’s a couple of minutes to either of the two gondola stations in Wagrain. The boot room is at street level, as opposed to being in a dark cellar down some difficult steps.
4.	Breakfast. A work of art. Seriously. Bread/juice/yoghurt/muesli/fruit/meats/cheese etc and coffee/tea/hot chocolate is brought to your table (no messy buffet), meaning less waste. Eggs are cooked to your liking. From you table, in the bright and airy breakfast room, there is a view of some of the ski runs back to the Flying Mozart gondola station.
5.	Room. There are only 10 rooms in the hotel. Mine was on the second floor with a view of the slopes. It was tastefully decorated and was very quiet.
6.	Restaurant. The breakfast room becomes Kia-Ora restaurant in the evening, open to the general public. I ate there most evenings. All dishes are excellent, especially the pizzas. 
7.	Christian and Anna. I must mention the owners again and how much effort they put in to making sure all their guests are having a great time. It was such a pleasure to stay here.

From the UK, Crystal sells packages to the Kia-Ora Hotel. I booked directly via the website and flew independently to Salzburg from Gatwick. it was a very easy journey from Salzburg airport, even with skis. I travelled by bus from the airport to the main station in Salzburg/train to St Johann/taxi to Wagrain. On the return journey, the taxi shuttle back to the airport from the hotel via neutouristik.at. took less than an hour.

Excellent stay

Finding an ideal romantic small hotel in Wagrain does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Hotel Hollauf, a nice option for travelers like you.
